I can’t say enough positive things about our experience at Hearne’s Jewelers! A few weeks ago, I took off my wedding ring for the first time in years and couldn’t get it back on! We haven’t lived in New Bern very long, didn’t know a jeweler in town and we found Hearnes’ online. We went in only to get the ring resized. We worked with June who also recommend that we separate the engagement ring from the wedding ring. I thought I wanted a plain gold band to wear while the work was being done and for future everyday wear. We ended up buying a simple band with a row of diamonds that looks great alone or with the original set. My husband found a watch he fell in love with and he also bought me a beautiful gold and diamond.cross. He mentioned that he might want to upgrade the 4 smaller diamonds on my engagement ring to a solitaire. They didn’t have the exact size and shape in stock so they ordered a few for us to look at. No obligation.

About a week later the diamonds arrived and my rings were ready to pick up. Mike Hearne showed is several options... We ended up with a beautiful 1.5c stone and they made the old setting into a gorgeous pendant for me. I am so happy because those little stones mean so much to me! Both were ready the next day!

The service was exceptional. The prices were great. The jewelry is beautiful.

They have beautiful peices with a wide selection and are an extremely friendly family run business. The offer custom jewelry at reasonable prices so you can get exactly what you want at a price you can afford to pay. They are somewhat bad at communication and giving time estimates for when something will be done. My experience is that the day they give you for a peice being done is usually inaccurate some times by more than a week and they don't call you to tell you that it's going to take longer. This isn't really a big deal I would just say that you should call and try to talk to the same person to check on time frames. They do beautiful work and I will be taking all my business to them...

So to say I am so happy with the Hernes is a understatement!!! I took in my grandmother ring to have it cleaned it’s a vintage emerald with diamond accents and I could have cried when the amazingly sweet lady handed it to me I have never ever see my ring sparkle or shine so bright or seen my emerald shine so bright thank y’all so much! It meant to much to Me the Hernes have become my new jerwery home I will conduct all my business there on all new purchases as well as maintaining old!!! There staff is amazing! Very kind and genuinely care!!!! And the jewelry selection took my breath away!!!! I could write a whole book about how happy and pleased I was and am with...
