My review is two parts.
Part One: The initial sale was fine. The sales person listened to what I was looking for; a recliner for my elderly father. She was super helpful & helped select the perfect recliner & fabric. Upon payment, I was told it would be about a month for production & I would be called to schedule delivery.
Part Two: Towards the end of January, there was NO communication, so I called to check the status of my order. No one could or would help until I was finally transferred to my original sales rep. I was then told it was "behind in production" & would be arriving mid-February, around the 12th. That week came & still nothing. My father ends up going by the store to talk to someone in person. He was told "oh it's here, our delivery person is backlogged." Again NO call, NO nothing. So he got a delivery date scheduled for the following week.
Delivery came on February 20th. I stop by his house to check it out. He reclines in it & says it's great. With one problem, it was NOT reclining. I tried it as well. It reclined about 6", not to full horizontal. I asked how it was delivered & he said the guy brought it in two pieces & put the back on & left. A little book was left & I asked about screwing down the back. No tools were used. Dad was going to accept it as-is. Not me. I paid for a product & a warranty to go with it that was essentially delivered late & now defective.
This time I had my dad visit the store. No one would listen to him until finally the original salesperson came to help. He had her take him to the showroom model that we bought & told her flat out it would not recline completely. She finally understood & told him there were two screws that needed to be adjusted. So he went home & managed to do this himself. NOW it is a properly functioning recliner.
Final Review: I will never shop there again. They only seem to be interested in you if they think they are going to get a commission. Past the sale,...
Read moreI am not the biggest fan of La-Z-Boy furniture since I had a very bad experience with them. But, that being said, the chair my husband really liked was a La-Z-Boy. We talked to Chris Metcalf (New Braunfels store) on the phone about the same chair on line and that it was cheaper and questioned why. He told us to come into the store and we would investigate it together. Chris has to be the best customer service person we have met in years. He explained that the chair we were looking at was fabric, which I did not want, and worked with us to get the chair we wanted through promotional sales and financing. Chris sold that chair for La-Z-Boy the product did not. I would highly reccommend Chris to any of my friends. I feel that if something happens to the chair, Chrsi will be on our side to fix...
Read moreMy wife and I are very satisfied with our recent purchase of a couch recliner from the La-Z-Boy store near Creekside Mall in New Braunfels. Our salesman, Ric Olivarez, was truly great. He was very knowledgeable about all the available couches and gave a thorough overview of their entire product line. His no-pressure approach was most welcomed and allowed us time to consider all our options before deciding. We scheduled our delivery for the following week, and it too went very smoothly.
