Pokepawn Cardshop — Local services in New Braunfels

About a month ago I had some old basketball cards that I had no idea may or have not have been of value and Me or my husband are into trading cards. However we were referred to this place to check out and so my husband went in just to see about the cards we had. Anyhow my husband parted ways and bout a box of football cards to rip and turned out he had hit some good cards. The guys that run the store were so patient in helping my husband understand the value and just educated him about the ins and outs of the card collecting world. Needless to say now my husband is hooked like an addiction lol it’s not only fun but interesting to say the least that I never thought this world of card collectors existed. Do not only do we now collect our own football and basketball we Also got into the world of Pokémon cards too! It was neat being in their store watching the young kids come in and negotiate trades and sells and buys of their own cards. It was like watching young business men/women. I still have a lot to learn but it’s so cool and fun and I think we found a new hobby. This store is hands down amazing fun and just a cool place to browse and purchase whatever you need.my husband loves these guys and their honesty and the way they help him when he’s unsure of a card or whatever. They are so cool and just the patience they have with everyone. Never feel rushed and they treat you like a friend not just a number or a price tag and not many places are like that. So just wanted to say if you haven’t checked them out you really need too you will not be disappointed I promise. The people and the environment are absolutely amazing! Jacob the owner is super nice and is very knowledgeable when it comes to pokemon and anime, along with his amazingly sweet sister Marissa who had extreme knowledge in sports and F1 and they're both very patient to where if you take an hour making a decision on what to buy like I did, they don't try to rush you or kick you out they literally wait and are extremely nice even if you don't make a decision and just want to go in a look. I met my good friend Stuart here 5 years ago and we've been friends ever since. My #1 place to go to. Not just to inquire about cards or collectables, but also to be in environment where electricity of kindness and friendship...

I didn't get a welcoming vibe from anyone in the store. The staff didnt ask if i was looking for anything in paticular or even talk to me at all besodes saying hello. I asked if they sold singles and the guy just pointed and looked at me like i was stupid. It's not necessarily a bad store but I had a negative experience. I bought a box and the guy didn't give me correct change back. I'll definitely be giving them another shot seeing as it's one of the only two card stores in town but I was not impressed.
