I am OBSESSED with this place! There is something exciting to find everywhere you look. I visit New Haven annually and always set aside at least an hour to visit Lou Lou because it takes several laps around the store before I even see everything. I get tons of compliments on the accessories I buy there and it’s always a really pleasant place to shop. Kira, the manager, is helpful and attentive. It is one of my most favorite shopping destinations and I look forward to it far in advance. The prices are affordable, the pieces are long-lasting and there are styles for every taste. Read moreI was in the store today and purchased a necklace. Upon returning home and taking it out of tissue paper saw that the necklace and shells on it were discolored. I immediately called the store and wanted a replacement but was told they didn’t have another one and I could only receive store credit instead of a refund. I was told by the manager if she had noticed it was discolored before she sold it to us she never would have sold it. She said store policy is only store credit which normally I would understand however the $55 necklace was defective. Read moreI went to make a return and the manager, I’m assuming, jumped in immediately and got snarky with me about their return policy, which is exchange or store credit only. The other associate was very sweet but the manager was rude and extremely unpleasant. I had the necklace (which was overpriced and not very cute) less than a week and I disagree with the policy but the way I was treated was unacceptable and despite being a local I won’t ever be shopping at any Lou Lou location again, and I will make certain no one I know does, either.
