I use to love this place. Everytime I come to NOLA i go here and have spent hundreds. Never going back. I broughty sister here last weekend. So excited to show her. Unknowingly arrived 10 minutes before opening. The doors were standing wide open, and a women was on her cell phone talking standing at the register. She looked at us and said "we don't open until 10" we apologized and stepped outside. 5 min later she kicked another couple out, then she proceeded to bring her phone conversation outside. We waited patiently until 10 and went back inside. We wanted to see items in the back side of store. The women had it blocked off. She said "you can't shop that side, I'm alone and there is no one to watch you". I was appalled, and angry. I asked her if she was kidding. I reminded her that we waited to come in the store, we were patient and only wanted to shop the shoes kept on the that side of store. She told us no. We left, as we were walking out she comments on a shopping bag I was carrying. "The drawing on your bag is my design" Like we cared at that point. Just so whoever owns this place knows, I will never step foot in your store again...and we went right up the street and between my sister and spent $600 on the cutest shoes and bags at Road Kill on Decatur. They were helpful and the shop is a...
Read moreI was there, and I knew that the gift shop "Fun Rock'n" on Magazine Street was another store that the company owned, and it shut down. (Thats why I went to Pop City) So I went in and the FIRST thing that I heard was the lady at the register yelling at me and said "THEIR ARE NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS!" And I didnt even need to use the restroom. Anyways I was looking at some glasses and put one on. Then the lady said to me in an un-polite matter, "You know every pair you try on I have to clean!" So I just put them down. Then I went to the other side of the store where all the cool novelty items and gag gifts were. It was closed off by a clothing rack so I just pushed it aside not thinking anything off it. Then my friend told me that maybe we could not go back there cause it was closed off. So I went to the lady at the counter and asked if I could go back there. She said to me "NOPE, you cant go back there" (Which was very rude) So I just left. The store was organized and clean though. I would maybe go again because I dont know if that same lady is...
Read moreHad a lovely family vacation to NOLA this past weekend and up until Monday, nothing was going to ruin it!! Let’s just say I was surprised to learn that a restaurant we had reservations for that night has a very strict dress code and I was the one in the family that totally did not prepare accordingly when I packed! We popped in to pop city and were talking to each other about what might work for the restaurant, and Rhonda overheard us and jumped into action…this was a WE situation and we had so much fun looking at different choices and landed on an adorable dress Rhonda suggested. To say the least, I was so relieved to find something adorable, affordable and Rhonda legit took my stressed out self and turned my day around! She even let me borrow her shoes since all I brought was flip-flops! I was so happy to return them to her the next morning and told her all about our dinner! I’ll definitely be visiting in the future, the clothes are adorable, unique and the amazing atmosphere they have just makes it so...
