My wife and I visited the French Market on May 26th. It was a busy afternoon and other places that sold Pralineâs had long lines except this one. So we stopped and visited it. Itâs a cute bakery and very convenient to stop at when visiting the French Market. However, as soon as it was my turn to be served, the lady helping me asked âWhat do you want?â which I interpreted as rude. However, I am not one to make permanent judgement from someoneâs tone as I donât know what is going on in someoneâs personal life.
However, after I saw how interested she was in another customer (in front of me) that was already being served by another lady at the bakery, I realized it must just be me. She was basically attempting to flirt with this taller, older, man. Complimenting his shirt and asking where heâs going. With all respect, hello??? You have a customer right in front of you that youâre helping already and she didnât even give me a âhow are you,â or âHow are you enjoying New Orleans?âNo attempt at talking to me aside from taking my order and getting rid of me.
Whether it was a racially motivated prejudice, an abnormal fixation on Hawaiian T shirts, or having a certain type in men, at least provide the bare minimum of customer service for all your customers.

Pralines are wonderful, there are wonderful ones all over town, some are more to my taste but all are good. These however had a hint of caramel (not brown sugar or sugar flavor itself) and for me that was the key. I have never had any with this flavor and they hit the spot! P.S. I did not being any home to try to learn the sugar decomposition over time and although I do care and am interested, if they are not as wonderfully savory texture-wise tomorrow as they are today, I will eat them immediately and be happy! Thank you for existing...

The staff suggested their famous pralines so we ordered their smallest box. The original pralines are delicious, but you can only eat so much of it before getting diabetes lol. Itâs really rich and sweet. They have other praline flavors and other treats. Overall, pretty pricey for these little treats, but I guess itâs once in a while.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a nearby hotel so we walked. There are paid parking lots...
