FOOD ALLERGIES BEWARE! I have a severe shellfish allergy and am very cautious when eating out. I notified our waitress, Kesha, of my allergy and asked if the Mardis Gras Pasta could be made without shrimp. I told her if it couldn't, I would have the Alfredo Pollo pasta, which should only have chicken. She brought the Mardis Gras Pasta, and unfortunately, there was a SHRIMP RIGHT ON TOP! I alerted Kesha, and she removed the plate instantly voicing her concern and assuring me that she had spoken with the kitchen staff about my allergy. I decided not to try the other pasta dish and ordered a burger instead. Kesha stated that she would speak with the manager and ha e the burger order rushed. Shortly thereafter, I received my burger and fries, which was actually pretty good. BUT, as I reached the bottom of my fries, WHY WAS THERE A SHRIMP under my fries?! My husband asked for the manager. Kesha apologized again, and the manager, Dimitri, came over. My husband explained to him what had happened. The fried shrimp was in plain view on my plate, yet he asked if he could see it. Dimitri picked up the shrimp, pulled it apart, and said, "Yeah, it's a shrimp," as if we didn't know that already! That was th sole purpose of calling him over! Then, all he could do was apologize and explain that the shrimp basket was next to the fry basket in the kitchen. He said, "I hope you don't get sick. Is there anything I can do?" YES, you're the manager! There are a few things you can do - comp the meal, offer a discount, give a coupon for a future visit.... ANYTHING. Now, don't get me wrong, I was NOT looking for a free meal as I had eaten 95% of my meal. However, I feel he should have made the gesture to offer some sort of discount even though I would have declined. He didn't seem concerned enough. A customer with severe shellfish allergies was served shrimp twice in the same setting, and you don't even OFFER... Needless to say, we won't be back. And YES, we still tipped our waitress well. She was polite and provided...
Read moreUpon arrival the server was all over the place. Her name was Dionka B and she definitely was not friendly or professional. She brought us cups of ice but no water. When taking our order she wrote down half the tables orders and thought she was done. When we told her there were more people she seemed annoyed. She finally brought out our water but instead of giving my brother in law his Dr. Pepper she brought out Diet Pepsi and stated that the Dr Pepper was out. We couldn’t understand why she would. It say that and ask if he wanted something else. She just assumed he wanted Diet Pepsi which he did not. When the food came out it was cold. The gumbo was very cold and had no taste. Our server Dionka never came to see if we needed any refills or anything. She was nowhere to be found. When it came time to pay I told another waitress we were ready for our checks and that it was 3 separate checks. She said that was fine and left. She never came back. Our server Dionka finally came out and was going to give us a whole check. We stated that we had said it was separated and she rolled her eyes and said, “oh we don’t do that here,” “you all are going to have to get together and separated yourselves.” I stated that we were never told that and she said that it was fine and she will do it this one time. I told her 3 times what was on my check and she took off to separate the checks. She came back and the checks were all wrong. She got upset and gave me attitude saying that it was our problem and we have to just give eachother the difference. I told her that we didn’t order Diet Pepsi and she said that was not her fault. So I asked for a manager. She said nothing and left. A manger finally came and separated the checks for us. We are not even from Louisiana and this was the worst dining experience we have ever had. She definitely does not have customer service skills nor is she professional. She needs to be pulled from her job...
Read moreIt feels wrong leaving 1 star because they absolutely deserve zero. We were so excited to try this place. We were seated by a male host who seemed to also be serving a few tables. We were seated and after 10 minutes, the same host came back and said to my friend, “I saw you looking around. You’re not the only one.” We know people can get frustrated when busy, so we chose to ignore the hateful comment and gave our drink orders. I inquired about the brand of ginger ale in which he said it was ginger ale, rolled his eyes, and tapped his temple as if I needed to use my brain. I said that sprite instead was fine, and he walked away without saying anything. He returned with the brand, but I thanked him and said the sprite was fine. We told him we could order as well since we were ready, and he was fine with that- so we did - Pepsi, ginger ale, sprite, and a Bloody Mary. A po-boy, alfredo, and the taste trio. He left. 30 more minutes had surpassed, and we still had not received our drinks. There was an older female server who walked by our table approximately six times, so I stopped her and let her know we had been waiting for more than 30 minutes, and we had not received our drinks yet, and I started to ask if we could reorder, and she interrupted to sarcastically and with a high pitch say, “Three minutes?? Oh my gosh. Are you going to die in three minutes??” We immediately got up, told her that was a crazy response, and corrected that it was well beyond 30 minutes, not three, and she could keep her smart ass comment to herself. She tried to recover by saying she thought I said 3 minutes but even if that was the case, that was an extremely inappropriate response. The service was absolutely terrible, and we were never served anything after 45 minutes. No apology, no manager, no attempt to make this right. I am appalled and will...
