This is one of those must-visits for NOLA locals and tourists. Every time I get a compliment on earrings or a head piece, it’s something I purchased from or made with Emily, the store owner. She hosts incredibly fun workshops before and during carnival season, which I highly recommend taking with a group of friends. She makes it so fun to costume and is a great teacher. If you are not into creating but want some great carnival season (and any season) jewelry, definitely check out her space! This shop is an absolute delight. The owner, Emily, led a wonderful headdress making workshop, and we each left with a completely unique headdress that beautifully matched our personalities.

As a costume enthusiast, I learned new strategies and tricks I’ll use for years to come. Emily made costuming accessible and fun, even for two relative newbies who joined me for the class.
