Filthy ! OMG the black dirt on the pink rugs were so disgusting I were scared for the bottom of my NYC walking shoes . I love anything pink , once upon a time this place was so beautiful I can imagine, still has so much potential. This cafe is so dang cute and a fun place for pictures , not much food or much desserts to choose from . Tea and smoothies were cool , love the pastry pink boxes and heart shaped cup plugs. They need to seriously scrub the wall and take out those pink rugs upstairs and BLEACH them or can em . Get new ones , that’s disgusting to display that trash to people looking to eat and drink . The bath stinks and filthy too , horrible smells in both bathroom .needed soap as well , but the bathroom has cute little hand dryer. Walls need deep scrub from professional cleaners , the games are a cute idea and I love the pink and white sky decor and pink hot are ballon on the ceilings. The hot air balloon chairs were a bit dirty with stains of tea on the pillows , need bleach and scrubbing ,pillows need washing . This place is good for pictures, problem is you don’t want to sit and eat too much once you really look around and discover the slackness . I mean a strand of hair on the table , it’s literally unsanitary almost . They do good luring you in and it definitely is a beautiful place if upkeep was priority but please do better I actually want to support you guys . Love this for my girls , love this place to relax and sip and scroll and look girlie and cute, I love the look and feel and creative design , but I can’t sacrifice cleanliness for anything . Staff were friendly and patient , they were informative and knowledgeable on the taste of the teas I...
Read moreNew spot on Main St in downtown Flushing. Add this to the another "trendy" Asian tea spot list. I've never heard of Mtea but supposedly they're a well known franchise.
First things first, this place is bright and huge. Their rent must be insane. You can see how beautiful it is on the inside just by looking through the glass.
I went around 9PM so the place was completely empty. When I walked in, all I could notice was the beautiful interior decor. It's completely renovated. There is lots of tables and seats in the rear. The colors inside is super pink. I mean pink on top of pink. I felt as if I was in Barbie's Playhouse lol. Not sure if a lot of dudes would want to be sitting in there studying, reading a book, surfing the web etc.
Now for the drinks. I ordered the Grapefruit Yakult. The medium sized one was $5.95 + tax = $6.48. that's pretty comparable to all of the other trendy tea spots in the area. The drink was pretty good and they put real slices of grapefruit in the drink.
Overall, I enjoyed the drink and I may come back again. I'm not sure if this place will be able to stay in business with the tons of competition in the area especially with their...
Read moreI've tried lots of different bubble tea places and I would probably rank this lowest. It has beautiful decor...definitely insta-worthy if you're into that.
It seemed like they were in a rush to close the store. We walked into 15 minutes before closing time and they asked us to leave. They did not take my order until I pointed out it was not closing time yet.
We ordered 5 different flavors: crepe brulée matcha, creme brulée oreo, taro boba milk, brown sugar boba milk, and passion fruit green tea. The creme brulee flavors were okay and the green tea was fine. Taro and Brown Sugar are pretty common flavors and I didn't think anyone could go wrong with those. I was wrong. Those two did not have any flavor at all - just slightly sweet milk and boba. The boba is very sticky/chewy, I wasn't a fan of that either (some ppl prefer it that way).
The poor quality could have been because the two employees were ready to close. Or the place is better known for its vibe and food (didn't order any). Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Still, I probably won't go back again.
TLDR: Great for vibes & aesthetic, bubble tea not...
