Today is my last visit to this business, and I am deeply disappointed and disrespected by the way I was treated. After being a loyal customer for over five years with Chris at his previous location and later at this one. I never imagined I would encounter such poor service and disregard for my time and respect. I had a 1:00 pm appointment today but, due to traffic (I live an hour away), I arrived about 15 minutes late. Despite the long drive, I’ve always trusted Chris (the owner) for great cuts, so I didn’t mind the wait. It’s also worth mentioning that in Flushing alone, there are over 100 salons I could have chosen from, yet I stayed loyal to Chris for these many years because of the trust and quality service I thought he provided. However, the way this business is run is not just inefficient, it’s disrespectful. When I arrived, I saw Chris was working with two women on their hair dye, and he asked me to wait until they were done. I was perfectly fine with that, understanding that he was in the middle of work. However, 40 minutes later, another customer walked in, and despite me being there before her, she was washed, seated, and attended to first. I was confused and frustrated. This is not how appointments should be handled, especially when I had been waiting far longer. At around 2:15 pm, Chris approached me and suggested I allow someone else to cut my hair because the woman who had arrived 40 minutes after me had a 2:00 pm appointment. I was shocked and insulted. My cut takes at most 20 minutes at most and I had already waited over an hour, and he wanted me to wait even longer while prioritizing someone who came in after me. His reasoning was that I had arrived late, but that’s no excuse for disrespecting my appointment time or treating me as though my time didn’t matter. Even when I am on time or come in earlier, I still have to wait an hour so what's the difference? I understand I have to wait for the people before me but this wasn’t just about timing, it was about treating the first customer with basic respect. This is not the first time I've encountered such poor service. My parents had similar experiences: my father, who had a 12:00 pm appointment, was made to wait over two hours before getting his cut. My mother, who arrived early for her noon appointment, was also made to wait long past her scheduled time. To make matters worse, a staff member called in a friend and prioritized them, cutting their hair ahead of my mother’s. This type of preferential treatment, where personal connections take precedence over paying customers, is unprofessional and completely unacceptable. The way this business is run is not just inefficient, it's disrespectful. It’s not about the timing or who arrived first, it’s about how customers are valued. I drove over an hour and a half to be treated like this, and that’s simply wrong. For a business that’s supposed to be built on customer service, this experience has shown me that they’ve lost all sense of professionalism and fairness. After being a loyal customer for over five years, I can no longer support a business that treats me, my family, and other customers with such disrespect. My parents have already stopped coming after experiencing similar treatment, and after today, I’ll be doing the same. I would strongly advise anyone considering this place to think twice before trusting them with your...
Read moreAVOID AT ALL COSTS. I had an absolutely dreadful experience at this salon three months ago, and the pain still lingers every time I look in the mirror. I went in just for a simple trim, clearly demonstrating with my own hair how much I wanted off — a mere dusting. However, the stylist decided to take matters into her own hands and snipped off what felt like half of my precious locks. Not only did she ignore my instructions, but she also gave me these atrocious layers that I explicitly did not ask for.
I was so appalled by the outcome that I left a scathing review, detailing my disappointment and dissatisfaction. Lo and behold, instead of addressing the issue like professionals, the salon offered me a whopping $250 bribe to take down my honest feedback. They also threw in free hair extensions to appease their gross negligence.
Now, three months later, I am still traumatized every time I see my reflection. The hair extensions do little to hide the fact that my once beautiful hair has been butchered beyond recognition. I find myself tearing up regularly over this botched job. It's not just a bad haircut; it's a constant reminder of how a simple salon visit turned into a nightmare.
Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place unless you want to leave in tears with a hairstyle you didn't ask for and a heart full of regret. This establishment cares more about covering up their mistakes with cash and extensions than actually providing competent service
RESPONSE TO OWNER REPLY: My friend also went here and completely different stylist made her hair way too short too. Your stylist lack common sense and comprehension skills they do whatever they want. Everybody that goes to good hands leaves with the same...
Read moreMy little cousin came here to get her hair colored and had a really disappointing experience. She specifically requested a darker color—clearly communicated in both English and Chinese, along with a reference photo—but they ignored that and dyed her hair a much lighter shade she didn’t consent to. She said they could tell she was unhappy but kept trying to convince her it “looked good.” She had also booked with a specific stylist, only to be switched to someone else the day of the appointment without notice. On top of that, the dye job was uneven—you can literally see a stark line between the colored portion and her natural hair instead of a smooth gradient.
It felt like they did whatever they wanted simply because she’s young and less likely to speak up. She reached out afterward to ask for a correction or partial refund, but they initially ignored her. Only after some time did they finally respond and offer a $100 refund. While it’s something, it doesn’t make up for how she was treated or the fact that she now has to go to another salon to fix it.
When you’re paying OVER $300 for a service, the bare minimum is listening to what the client wants and delivering it professionally. Instead, they did a poor job and gaslit a young girl into thinking she had to accept it. I can’t support this kind of...
