LIV KTV&PARTY — Local services in New York

I honestly don't know how this establishment is opened.

As an avid ktver for the past two decades, this has got to be the worst KTV in Flushing. I don't really write reviews and can be pretty forgiving (esp if it's a new business) but I feel like it's my personal responsibility to tell you all about this place. Here is a brief sequence of events-

We were a party of 15 and upon the arrival of the first room, we noticed that the room smelled like vomit and not thoroughly cleaned out. In addition, the KTV machine was not working. The staff did swap us to a new room, but the problems didn’t end there.

The new room had stale air, and despite our repeated requests—about 10 times throughout the night—the staff disregarded our pleas to turn up the AC. To make matters worse, the KTV machine kept freezing, requiring the staff to restart it. With the restart, we had to reload the song queue, which was quite frustrating given the limited song selection. My mom probably know more songs than they had in the system.

As compensation for our troubles, the staff offered us three appetizer dishes but only on the condition that we leave a positive review. This felt insincere and manipulative, as we were inconvenienced multiple times and then essentially bribed to provide a misleading review. It seems their current high ratings might be influenced by similar situations where customers are pressured to leave positive feedback in exchange for compensation. At the end of the night, we were pressured into leaving at least a 20% gratuity, which didn’t feel good at all given the overall poor experience.

But WAIT, it gets worse! By this point in the night, our group had fewer than 15 individuals. We tried to leave the facility via the stairs, but they were boarded off for our "safety." With no other option, we decided to use the elevator. One of us asked the staff if we all could fit, and he confirmed that we would. Once the doors closed, the elevator abruptly stopped moving. Now panicked, we were trapped and there was no way to know if help would come. We called the staff, and what felt like a long time, we were release after several terrifying minutes.

While catching our breaths we asked the staff how the elevator could have malfunctioned. The manager became agitated and blamed us for overloading it even thought, they were the ones who had given us clearance to use the elevator. The elevator also did not make any sound indicating that we had exceeded the weight limit. After a long stressful conversation with the manager (who clearly had no skillsets to manage the place), he didn't take any of our feedbacks and nothing was resolved.

TLDR: Ambience is nice, ktv machines and AC didn't work well, song selections are limited, staff (esp the manager that was in on 11/13) are not helpful and need more training, and you might get stuck in the elevator (but it will be...

Had such a great experience at Liv KTV! The rooms are super clean, stylish, and private — perfect for hanging out with friends. The lighting and setup made it feel like a mini concert, and the atmosphere was just right: fun, energetic, but still comfortable.

The song selection is HUGE — they had English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and more. Even niche or older songs were available, which really surprised me. The sound system was excellent, and the touchscreen system was very easy to use.

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful without being intrusive. They made sure everything was working smoothly and brought drinks/snacks quickly when we ordered. For the price, it was 100% worth it.
