I witnessed the most appalling spectacle of hated at this seven-eleven at 2:30am (or so) on Sunday morning.
A seemingly disabled homeless man was confused and arguing with a clerk. It escalated into loud shouting and another clerk emerged to threaten him with violence. He picked up a “wet floor” sign and began beating him with it.
I looked at the homeless man and he looked scared, he wasn’t fighting back. They kept prodding him to go outside so that they could finish with him but he held his ground.
The police arrived. I didn’t hear what they were saying to him at first. I wanted to explain to them what I saw, so I got closer, then I heard them berate this poor man.
The man was not defending himself at all, I felt so much pity that I started to cry. I went to the back of the store and collected myself.
I finished my purchase, then I stopped to speak to one of the officers. I told him that it was the homeless man who was attacked and that he never fought back. The police officer then began to berate me! He twisted my words until I gave up. I turned to him and accused him of racial bias, and I left.
I saw the homeless man on the street. I asked him if he was homeless, and he said no. I asked him if he had ID so that I could possibly help him. He showed me a government check with his name on it. I realized that he was in there just trying to cash this check. I asked him where he lived, and he pointed to the stoop. He was mentally disabled, he did not know what I meant by homeless.
I have a brother that is mentally disabled, so I am very sensitive to people like this vulnerable man. My heart was breaking, it seemed like the whole world has forgotten him.
I felt so angry about this that I had to at least write a review. about what goes on in this 7 11 and...
Read moreWell, I don't know anything about a 7-11 convenience store at this address, but as you can see in these Google site maps it does exist! So the scam/phishing email I received enticing me with a $200 credit from AT&T is bogus, not a bodega...DO NOT CLICK ON ANY LINKS IN AN EMAIL LIKE THAT...if you don't see your exact name or phone # or account #, BE SUSPICIOUS, instead go to the very bottom, usually the very last line in the mail, & manually copy (that means using a pen/pencil & paper to write it down) the address, which is usually always there & is SUPPOSED to be the legal address of the company/entity sending the email. NEVER CLICK ON ANY UNFAMILIAR LINKS OR ICONS in this kind of suspicious email/text/etc. it could be anything from an instant-downloaded-virus/worm/phishing etc...so do your due diligence and VERIFY THAT ADDRESS...don't click on anything before you do! WARNING! DANGER, WILL ROBINSON, DANGER! I love Google! Happy...
Read moreAs I walked into the store I observed an Indian guy by the name of harry operating the register, putting his hands in his mouth and just touching all over. As I wanted to order a pizza I also noticed he was touching the food without gloves on/ a mask and was constantly talking over the food. This is unsafe and unprofessional I advises anyone that eats here watch HARRY AND MAKE HIM WASH HIS HANDS AS I WAS DISGUSTED AT WHAT IVE SAW. The security guard on the other hand was extremely friendly and respectful. Please 7 Eleven make sure your...
