After having received the best manicure for my natural nails in LA, I went on a search to find a salon that would actually care about natural nails, and also be amicable and welcoming in NYC. Iâm so exhausted by all of the typical nail salons that are dirty with rude and inconsiderate staff. So I found this salon after an intense search, and was extremely excited that they had five stars; it was literally the only one that I saw. I immediately booked a reservation at the Tribeca location and unfortunately went to the Soho location by accident. While it is absolutely charming inside, and the atmosphere was lovely, their prices are not only exorbitant, they are simply not worth it. I donât mind spending $175 on a manicure and pedicure including tip if itâs worth it! At this location, not only did I receive no special treatment whatsoever for my pedicure, I have no idea why it was $75. Youâre sitting on a bench with no neck backing to relax, you donât receive any treatment to ensure that your feet are better than they were when you walked in, and itâs just a super basic pedicure. What I was expecting, was a leg and foot massage that was actually soothing or something in the water that made your feet softer. To add insult to injury my natural nails are long and I didnât even receive a hand massage or anything worth paying $60 for. The only good thing is that she obliged my request to add additional coats of gel so that my nails were stronger. I am not going to this location again because I just donât think itâs worth it. I will, however try the Tribeca Location, which was my original intent, because Iâm hoping that they have five stars for a reason. I just do not appreciate being nickeled and dimed the way you are here. The lady was using one of the fast rotating tools to shave the gel off of my nails, and she actually made one of the chips of my nail worse. Instead of simply just offering to fix it, she charged an additional $7 for simply putting drops of superglue on the chip. Itâs just outrageous to capitalize on every single aspect that they possibly can utilizing nothing exemplary to justify it. It doesnât in anyway lend itself to any kind of customer service that makes a consumer feel valued. Moreover, charging $10 to remove gel is absurd. Sadly, after this experience, I understand why this location has such mixed reviews. Itâs just not worth the price. They should at least consider elevating the experience so that the price...
   Read moreWORST nail experience Iâve ever had. I got a gel mani & pedi done last week and within days the nails started turning BROWN. I wish I had taken photos of that. Went to get them fixed and they RUSHED through the process. They âfixedâ 7 of nails in the time they fixed my friends ONE chipped fingernail (yes they chipped too). The nails are all different colors (not planned), you can SEE MY FINGERNAILS underneath the one coat that she did. My thumb nail is half shaved off. I asked her to add more coats so she fixed ONE finger then literally screamed âfinishedâ at me until I stood up. Even though my friend (again, with one fingernail getting fixed) was still not done next to me.
Some other things;
They told me makeup remover is what turns them brown. Iâve been using makeup wipes... even so, They never warned me about any of this prior and I donât know many people in NYC who donât wear makeup, so maybe they should warn people. The woman fixing my nails was again yelling at me to put my hands under the light even though she hadnât turned the light on (but probably didnât notice, because she wasnât paying any attention to what she was doing). When I picked the color (from the first time) to get my nails fixed, she said, no that canât be it because of how much the nails had changed in that time. Most of the rest of the staff was friendly and polite the first time that I got them done.
Honestly I wish I had left them brown instead of getting them fixed so I wouldnât have had this even worse experience. The way the woman treated me when getting them fixed was the worst part. Absolutely in shock from the disrespectful way I was treated while I was politely trying to get fixed what should not have been an issue in the first place.
I really wanted to...
   Read moreMy Pinterest peg has come to life! I was happy with how my nails turned out. I booked A6 for my wedding day nails, and I didnât regret them! Got a good pedicure too. Just cleaning and callous removal. Happy with my now soft and callous-free feet!
Inquiring and coordinating was smooth, I would say. They got to answer my questions and were very helpful. I booked with them right away!
The technicians were nice and courteous. Not pushy, like how other nail salon people would be. I did try to ask for the WiFi password a few times when I was there, but maybe I was speaking too softly so they couldnât hear me properly đ
A6 may be my new go-to for nails! Alsooo. They have a happy hour on the weekdays. I guess thatâs discounted rates and pay cash only!...
