today, I came home from the new Abercrombie boutique store in Flatiron with a bag full of styles from the 2024 spring preview collection. the staff working there are so incredibly welcoming, fun, and helped curate on-trend, sophisticated looks that made me look and feel like Margot Robbie. what I appreciate about the associates here is their honesty and keen eye for style; almost everyone who works there is a fashion major and it really shows.
they didn't try selling me the most expensive items and were really knowledgeable about sizing, how different styles are supposed to fit, and what ultimately makes my body look amazing. there were some pricey pieces that they encouraged me not to purchase because they didn't compliment my body type, or because they could tell I didn't love it, etc. I appreciated their genuine candor so much that I spent way more money than I would have if they showed me 1 or 2 of the most expensive pieces in the store and just bought those. point is- the people here aren't trying to sell you a bunch of stuff you don't want or need or maybe can't afford. they are simply trying to help people feel their most confident selves using the power of fashion in a no-pressure environment (which makes me but more if I'm being honest).
can you imagine walking into a store like Valentino, Balenciaga, Chanel, or even Aritzia and feeling welcomed like this? would you feel that you can trust the associates at these brands to help find your perfect outfit, rather than trying to pressure you into buying the most expensive item to make a quick buck off you? I guarantee you'd be hard pressed.
Abercrombie has proven why they are dominating the industry right now and will continue to do so.
PS: I see a lot of comments about how small the store is- this is done on purpose. this store and the one in Soho are boutiques, meaning they only cater to more specific, usually sophisticated, styles that are trending in the neighborhood. on the other hand, the flagship at 5 Av & 53 St has their entire inventory plus online exclusives and other random things that get returned that you might not see at...
Read moreThis company is a crook. đ Iâve been a loyal customer for over a year. Spending thousands with the company. I mainly purchase from their online store, and had no issues with getting packages delivered, until recently.
I had a package go missing. They use a weird tracking courier service called âOnTracâ which I have never heard of before. For a large corporation like Abercrombieâs, wouldnât they use a reputable shipper like Fedex, UPS, USPS, etc??? AnywayâŠ. I did my job which was to track the package and notify Abercrombie of a missing package in a timely manner. They are refusing to reimburse, or redeliver, and told me to take it up with OnTrac.
OnTrac is also giving me the run around and telling me to take it up with Abercrombie. What AWFUL business practice. To a loyal client who has spent thousands and never complains?
So sad that I will have to stop shopping here because the company has unfairly stolen my money. Iâll be pulling out my stocks from this company too. I canât support a huge retailer who takes advantage of their clients.đ
Edit:
By the way, if anyone is wondering. I ship all my packages to my business address. The safest address I can think to send it to because I donât have neighbors. Just a front desk that I PERSONALLY manage. So the package can, and only would have to be, delivered INSIDE my business when doors are open,...

I made a mistake with a size and Katie helped me with my return - price matched it to the sale price I originally bought it for, and (since it wasnât in stock) she shipped it to my house for free. She double checked sizes, shipping dates and addresses⊠so thorough! Everyone working alongside her seemed so calm and...
