May 16, 2025, This is where our magical experience ends. We never heard from Christianna Rice again after 4/28/25, except for a request to leave a review. Consequently, we canceled our Brilliant Earth ring due to Brilliant Earth’s lack of communication and transparency noted below.

Brilliant Earth failed to provide us with tracking information until we directly contacted them four times within the last 24 hours. They only provided a “provisional” tracking number, which they later claimed was not the actual tracking number. Brilliant Earth attempted to delay the ring’s delivery, claiming a production issue. However, just the day before, we were informed that the ring was completed and that Brilliant Earth was awaiting FedEx’s delivery. We were promised in writing that it would be delivered today May 16th, 2025.

We contacted FedEx, who informed us that they had not received the package. Brilliant Earth persistently offered free gifts to prevent us from canceling and pursuing legal action. We declined these offers, as they were already included in the value of our purchase. Brilliant Earth had promised to deliver the product on May 19, 2025. However, we had completely lost trust in the company and didn’t want to risk hitting the 30-day return window and being stuck with credit to their store, as others had mentioned instead of an actual refund.

After conducting thorough research and consulting numerous reviews from BBB, Trustpilot, Reddit, Google, YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms, we discovered that this issue is prevalent with Brilliant Earth. It was only after we informed Brilliant Earth of our intention to take legal action that they issued an apology and promised to expedite our refund.

Should we not receive the refund, we will be compelled to send Brilliant Earth a demand letter. We strongly advise caution when using this company and strongly discourage booking appointments with Brilliant Earth and using a different company.

Today, we visited several local jewelers, who expressed shock and expressed their immediate concerns about Brilliant Earth due to the exorbitant cost of rings and ring settings. They emphasized that the thinness of the setting I had chosen was a joke and would likely cause the ring to break, resulting in the loss of the diamond and gemstones. We strongly advise against entrusting Brilliant Earth with the creation of such a significant piece of jewelry for a special occasion. I went to the Brilliant Earth showroom to look at engagement rings and get sized. I had an idea of what I wanted as far as an oval diamond and a yellow gold setting but nothing more than that, and I had my eye on one of the settings at Brilliant Earth so it made sense to go and try it on. I loved that Brilliant Earth took time pre-appointment to ask questions about what styles and rings I was interested in looking at to make sure they had it in store for me on the day of. My appointment was with Mary Eddy and she was SO helpful through the process! We tried on a bunch of different styles, a lot of which were along the same style as the original setting I had my eye on. She also took the time to explain the 4 C's with me and really go through my preferences, along with differences between lab grown vs natural. I wasn't someone who went in the appointment knowing too much about the C's, so it was so great to be able to talk it through with her and decide what was best for me and my personal style and preferences. At the end of my appointment, we emailed my preferences over to my boyfriend who then made an appointment with Mary to choose the stone based on the preferences we discussed. I did end up going with the Versailles setting that I had my eye on and fell in love with, but I ended up realizing that the carat size I had in mind was much bigger than I preferred once seeing it on my hand. That goes to show you that trying on rings and seeing it on your hand is SO important. You really never know what looks good on you until you do.

I'm so over the moon with the final product and my now fiance proposed last week in Hawaii. If it wasn't for Mary, I probably wouldn't have my DREAM ring so thank you so much Mary and Brilliant Earth. I couldn't be more obsessed with my ring! I couldn't say any more amazing things about this company -- highly recommend!

We can't wait to go back for our wedding band session. :)

UPDATE: Married as of 3.23.23 and got my matching Versailles band and the set together is even dreamier than I imagined! When I started my engagement ring search, I was overwhelmed with where to start or what I was looking for. Thankfully the internet has revolutionized the buyers market; but again, online selection is daunting. After much browsing, I decided to work with Brilliant Earth based on their section of engagement ring setting styles (my fiance is very much into nature ie: plants, flowers, etc…). The creativity of their settings are both diverse and unique, and their diamond selection is comparable to other big name companies.

After opening the line of communication with BE via phone and the online messaging platform, their staff was very responsive, and understanding to my needs and questions. I decided to take a trip into the city at their NY showroom because I wanted to physically see what these settings looked/ felt like, and also wanting this process to be engaging in itself. Weeks prior to my appointment I contacted customer service multiple times making several requests to have all of the settings (and even specific diamonds) present for my appointment. I am happy to say all of my requests were met and walking into the showroom was such a wonderful experience!

The showroom itself was beautifully set up. Open, spacious, warm and welcoming. Mary (my sales representative) was kind, knowledgeable and engaging. Working with her was delightful and she was very patient with all of my questions. My appointment ended with making the decision to invest in the experience and I ended my search for the perfect engagement ring on the day of my appointment!

Few suggestions to those considering BE… If choosing to go into the store, I suggest going during less busy hours (weekdays/ early afternoon). My appointment was on a Wednesday at 1pm and I had the entire showroom to myself! Somewhat obvious, but do your research! I spent months watching videos, reading blogs and company reviews to ensure my decision was based on knowledge, rather than online shopping options. Dont be afraid to ask questions!
