You guysā¦I really think you should pick another place in Manhattanā¦I had had the best massage Iāve ever had there before but that was before the pandemic and I donāt think that guy even works there anymore. And I think the place has changed a bit. I donāt remember the rooms be so small you can barely walk through them š¬
So itās been many years since Iāve been. I read a lot of the reviews and I was pretty wary because lots of people said this place was really bad. Unfortunately that was my experience. I have to say this was worst massage Iāve ever had. ): I left in pain. The massage was way more painful than pleasurable. It was like a SNL parody of a massage or something. She was massaging so many of the wrong places. She kept massaging my bones! And I love deep tissue!! But oh my god she was digging in so hard!! And going so quickly!
She was just rubbing up and down my back so fast!! I was like āwhy???ā It felt like everything was being so rushed and felt like she didnāt care. ):
And the scalp was massage was just insane. She was pushing so hard on my scalp! And going so fast! Not taking her time at all!
And the massage roomsā¦.they werenāt playing any spa music ): like thatās part of the relaxing part! And theyāre not actually rooms. Itās one big room divided up by curtains and the there is like no space when you get inside! I was like āā¦.how are they going to move around this table??ā I felt so bad for them. So because of this she moved the table while I was on it during the massage so she could get between the bed and the wall. That wasā¦.a choice⦠So without music, it was just quiet except for you really, really hear everything everyone else is doing . The masseuse right next to us was wadding up the giant piece of paper that was on the massage table to throw away. The next client came in, you could hear every zipper being undone, every crinkle of his puffer coat, it was so distracting, even though I was trying to focus and relax. Which, of course, wasnāt his fault. The rooms are just too close. And you can hear all the sounds of the other massages doing the hitting part. So lots of thumping noises of hands/fists hitting wet oiled up flesh.
The 90 minute massage was $75 and when I went to the receptionist she said āthat will be $75ā and I was like okay great thank you! And I handed her my card and she said with a card it would be $82. Thatās really crazy. Iāve never been charged an extra $7 just for using a card? So I went with the cash option. Even though I wanted the points from my credit card. Then there was a line at the atm. Not a great way to end a massage. And the ATM also charged a fee.
Iām now left with bruises all over my body from the digging massage.
Iām definitely gonna look for a new...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt was...bad. I originally scheduled online a 90 minute massage, 20 minute foot rub, and 60 minute facial several days in advance and received confirmation emails for each. The day of, about an hour beforehand, I received a text message confirming my appointments, but saying that they no longer do facials. Okay, would have been nice to have known that earlier. I asked if my other appointments would still be honored and they said they weren't sure because they were busy with a lot of walk ins. Isn't that the point of making an appointment though that you get priority?
When I got there, I was seen for my 90 minute massage pretty much right away. The massage itself was fine, and I tipped the massage therapist well.
Afterward, I went in the bathroom. There was no soap OR hand sanitizer, despite a sign saying that employees "must wash hands before returning to work". A.) Gross, B.) I guess they weren't doing that.
As I tried to exit the bathroom, the door wouldn't open, despite being unlocked. I had to text the front desk person to tell her I was stuck, and for the first 10 minutes or so she didn't believe me and asked me to send her a picture of the unlocked door. After about 30 minutes total, they were able to break the door so I could get free.
I then went to get my 20 minute foot rub, but was told that despite having an appointment and being locked in their bathroom for half an hour, they were too busy for my appointment.
They also did not offer any complimentary service or discount for my massage despite everything that happened. This would never happen at a professional massage place, but I guess you get what you pay for.
In summary: Not clean, not professional, and they don't care about their customers....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am in recovery from years of pain management and narcotic treatment for bone and nerve deterioration due to several things. But to make a long story short I have been medication free for three years and that is in a huge part to All seasons massage. I suffer from neuropathic pain and sciatica. I live a healthy, but busy New York lifestyle and do not make a ton of money. But this place makes the luxury of massage accessible. I come average, about 3 to 4 times a month. This place is full of talented people that do great work. I have spent triple the money at places like Bliss for half of the results. They go above and beyond the call of duty. Iāve been coming here for years and up until several months ago used the same guy. When my regular guy left, I thought my world was over. I had never used anyone else but him. But they recommended someone that they promised would absolutely be able to make me as happy as he did and they have. He goes by āClarkāand heās a huge part of my New York survival kit. The staff is kind and what they lack in communication, they more than make up for with kindness, professionalism skill. Itās a New York gem and they could actually charge more than they do. I make sure to over tip! Iām sure my gratuity has played a huge part in the wonderful treatment Iāve received. And itās important to show as much gratitude for this place that has plays huge part of my...
