Went in to upgrade my phone to 11 (only owed 100$ to pay off the X) somehow I was being talked into all these things that sounded to good to be true like adding at&t tv and another line and I have to give them my old phone I just paid off for 500$ credit towards the 11. I was told my monthly bill would be the same 130$ a month. So I said that sounds not to bad so I did it. I found out week later it was total lie. There is no 500$ credit for giving in your old phone.and my bill went up to 270$!! There was no need for an additional line and the tv it’s not even what I wanted originally I was talked into it and was told lies about rates to get me to sign. Straight fraud honestly. I called customer support and they were very helpful in resolving the situation, but I would be weary of the young guys who work there cause they clearly were not looking out for my interest, just there’s.
Update: if your the owner you need to really take a look at who you have managing the store cause I came back twice to take care of this issue after a lead supervisor already approved my return which was passed the 14 days.. and your manager wasn’t helpful at all. I had at&t customer support on speaker standing next to your manager .. telling her that it’s approved and to cancel line and take back phone under 14 day policy.. and the manager was super rude said she won’t do it and walked out of the store. Zero help. Worst at&t experience...
Read moreAll the reviews I read before going to the store were all from a year ago or longer therefore at first I was skeptical about going to said store because of all the previous reviews being so negative, but I came to find none of them were true. The service is amazing and the staff is superb, especially compared to the AT&T store off Morgan Ave in Brooklyn. I was immediately greeted and helped upon walking into the store and offered a bottle of water by Leo, a current employ who made my cell phone upgrade experience, quick painless and easy. The cherry on top of awesomeness that is this particular AT&T store was when after everything was said and done, Leo the employ who helped me out, walked me out and held the door open for me as I was leaving. When small things like that happen in a big dark city such as New York, it really does make my day a little brighter. Great store, great service,...
Read more3 customer service people in the store. No customers but myself.
They were all on their phones. They avoided all chances to be helpful, and I provided many opportunities.
I explained that I needed to reactivate my phone. I asked for some help. They told me to call the 1800 number. (Thank you?)
So i did. When i called the 1800 Customer Service, they were helpful and also told me these store employees could have helped me, as they were meant to do so.
After i bought a new SIM card i asked them if i could throw away my old one. They directed me to the NYC garbage can outside on the street corner.
They couldn't even be bothered to help with that. I imagine they were trying to avoid the work of holding out their hand?
These people were useless. Who hires useless people? This is New York.
This happened today: Tuesday...
