Manhattan Foot Specialists — Local services in New York

Prior to my appointment with Dr. Rimawi, I asked (on the phone and confirmed via text, attached below) if he was in-network with my insurance and was told he was, but due to the deductible I had to pay out of pocket before the visit.

I went to the appointment and paid $195 when I left. I subsequently contacted my insurance company to see about reimbursements since he was in-network however they then told me Dr. Rimawi is NOT in network and they do not participate with him.

Believing this had been an error by Dr. Rimawi's office, I contacted their billing department and was told Dr. Rimawi was not in network and that the person who I spoke with when booking my appointment and the person who texted me after booking both conveyed incorrect information. Dr. Rimawi's office agreed the info shared prior to my appointment was wrong, but offered no resolution.

I asked for the issue to be escalated and was told by Shania that a manager (Anna) would contact me later that day. No one got back to me and I've called back again and left voicemails but have not heard back. I would not have gone to Dr. Rimawi had I known he was out of network; they misled me before the appointment and did nothing to resolve it after.

Sadly, Dr. Rimawi was good but based on my experience, this practice misleads people and is unresponsive to follow-up's so I would definitely avoid Manhattan Foot...

I was incredibly impressed by Dr. Rimawi and am so grateful for his calm, kind, and - most importantly - highly competent care. I entered his office in pain and nervous, and he put me immediately at ease. The treatment plan was explained clearly and Dr. Rimawi also made clear that he was available for questions if anything unexpected arose.
