Amazing customer service experience at this AT&T authorized retailer today! Normally, going to deal with stuff related to my phone is painful, with crowds/long wait times and unhelpful salespeople just trying to up-sell you. At least, this was my experience at the new AT&T that opened on 57th and 8th earlier in the day-- and then I found myself at this little gem of an AT&T, which totally turned the experience around! Two people helped me -- one dealt with backing up my old phone so I didn't lose my photos, contacts, etc., while the other did all the paperwork. My phone had been having challenges, so they really bent over backwards to help- trying different chargers, plugs, and backup systems to make sure my stuff was safe. Me and my friend visited to open up a new account and take two iPhone pro max512 gb.. first of all he stare at us but no greeting or smile... he just listen and wait without proper answer, he asks is why you want to take 512gb phone ? It took 5 minutes for us to agree exactly which plan and phones I needed, to become a brand new customer with two lines.
I was in the store for a total of 1 hour 45 minutes as the sales associate clearly did not know what he was doing and spent most of his time asking colleagues for help.
Even when I left after 1 hour 45 minutes, my account was still not fully set up as the store was on the phone to enable my new account to make international calls
I visited a store as I was nearby and I figured that it would be quicker than navigating the website myself as the sales associate would be familiar with the process.
