The staff here is always rude and unpleasant + in addition to the location prioritizing delivery services, this combination makes it just a terrible experience for a dine in customer especially for the quality of food diminishing.
The staff always seems to have an attitude and god forbid you have a small ask to enjoy your meal they will make it known how bothered they are; the ordering system is prison style as you have to stand in a crowd of food delivery drivers pushing their way to the front, and hordes of people waiting due to the long waits and disorganization as you are stuck between a soda machine and shelves of food delivery stations (they care about this more than your daily walk in customer).
The location is always dirty and not kept well, tables are rarely ever truly clean, the bathroom are disgusting. The upstairs is always blocked off so the location is not that big for what a dine in customer can expect.
Emphasis on the staff unpleasantness and lack of customer quality due to yet another Shake Shack location emphasizing take out orders and leaving the dine in customer with family or friends as a after thought to their bottom line. Which makes the entire experience terrible, the food is bland and effortless far from what I used to expect, barely a level above a fast food chain.
I will add this to Shake Shack locations I will not be returning to. Needs a complete revamp starting with staff, quality of service and cleanliness. The mountains of garbage bags leaking in front of the location do not add to the...
Read moreBoston market is the most underrated non fastfood fastfood place. It's got real food and the price isnt bad. But they have a problem that I encountered at Shakeshak and it reminded me of it.
When you go into Boston market, they immediately take your order and have your food ready. But then you have to wait online for a while because while they have 3 or 4 people taking in orders, they only have one or two register people.
Shakeshak has the kiosks as many places do today, which kind of sucks that a lot of jobs are going away for teens. But order intake is very rapid. In the kitchen theres an army of kids making the food. But the clog in the system are the actual food servers. They get overwhelmed by the number of orders and the food just sits there waiting.
So even after getting the text notice that my food was ready, I still had to wait long enough to notice that I'm waiting - and that was after having waited for a while.
When I visit shakeshak at city field, theres a much better system - especially when you consider the volume of people on line. They take your order and the same person packs your food. They don't cook it, but they pack it. The wait time at a ballpark is much faster than at this particular location.
Sometimes you get a cold burger so you have to keep an eye out on the quality of your food - particularly if you get takeout.
Also avoid this location at all costs during a schooldays between 3-5pm. Unless you're...

The Food is really good and Fresh, I was thinking, "...the best burgers..." and a few minutes later my wife actually said that! The food was really good! The seating in the back is still like a dungeon, so we (Wife, School Teacher Daughter) opted to sit in the front. There are 3 or 4 booths, plus Bar height Tables with stools. The booths were sully occupied and remained so for a long time - even thought the occupants had NO FOOD or Drinks in front of them! (see some photos) It seems that Shake Shack has become some sort of hang-out. A long bar height table was occupied by another group of hanger-outers. It was not very conducive to a pleasant Atmosphere. Danny Meyers in "Setting the Table" talks about getting your Favorite Meal, at your Favorite Table, with your Favorite Wine, Favorite Server, Favorite Time,... (You get the picture...) and Shake Shack, Forest Hills, has some of that - but SKIP the favorite table, because a whole lotta groups are just sitting and hanging out... This needs work.
Original Review:
The Bottled Water is too tall for the straws they have. The Shack Burger, while well cooked, was only warmish, and the bacon outside of the bun was room temperature and not hot. The back seating area is kind of dark, and it seemed more like a Prison Cafeteria than a Fastfood restaurant. The Shackburger with Bacon tasted good, but I have my doubts about how freshly...
