Banter by Piercing Pagoda — Local services in New York

I’m usually not a person to give bad reviews, but this deserved it. I’ve never been so unamused at the show the assistant manager at this location was trying to put on. I got to the booth and knew what I was looking for (because I used to work for the company and I always brought the same type of earrings). The guy finishes with his customer and apologizes because he needed a sip of water after I asked him where the gold square earrings were at this booth, he points me immediately to the diamond case as he drinks his water. As I’m looking, I realize I wasn’t specific to CZ, he then yells out loud screaming in the middle of the mall, to put on whatever show and even the girl working with him was confused, you’re doing too much. After a bit I clarified what I wanted and he points me to the correct case, I walk over and as he’s standing over the wrong case he’s like “wait wait wait, we can talk over here”, uh no I know what I’m getting. He finally comes over I tell him what I need 6mm and 7mm, real simple, he’s too busy trying to upsell me on everything else, he doesn’t even care to ask YG (yellow gold) or WG (white gold) I tell him I’ll take the extended service on the 6mm being that I always wear that size, I want to try the 7mm and if they weren’t really me I wouldn’t wear it much. After getting an attitude he puts everything in the tablet, adding the ESV to the 7mm also, hands me the tablet and says “since I worked here I know how to use it” I told him I quit before the tablets came out but I can read and you can take off the extra esv. I paid and leave, as I drive home I checked my e-receipt and see WG on it, I’m allergic to nickel and can only wear WG for a short period of time before my ear gets irritated. I had to return the following morning to switch them out, the girls the next day were so much more pleasurable to deal with and solved the issue for me with no issues. I made sure his employee number was not getting credit for this sale. I have a lot of choice words for him if he were to EVER again deal with me in any way. Also his friends seem to be the only business he can get, he needs better training and to learn some humility and to grow up, I’m a pretty chill customer but this was too much from...

I need to share this really bad experience at this Pagoda location which located on the first floor K102 not the one on the 3rd floor. Today, my daughter wanted to get piercings on her ears since she is only 5 yrs and I did my researches, most people recommend do both sides at the same time. Thus, I called in the morning to make that they are capable to do both sides at the same time, they said yes if I can come in after 4 pm. I came to the mall around 6pm and called the store to ask where are they located (I thought there is only Pagoda kiosk in the mall). A rude man picked up the phone and said they are first floor and hung up. And we showed up, he was interested to serve us or guide us at all, just standing at a corner and pointing finger where the earrings. After few minutes of choosing, my daughter knew what she wants and I just wanted to confirm that he will do same time for both ears. He responded “how many people do you see here?” (Instead he should say sorry we can’t do at both sides right now because I’m only working now). He refused to provide his name. I was not happy at all because I’m bringing business for him. He is not doing a favor for me. BAD service and BAD attitude = BAD result, so I didn’t want to take a chance so I convinced my daughter to get it done somewhere else. Luckily, while we were shopping and found there is another Pagoda kiosk on the 3rd floor, I asked a same question if they can do same time for both side (I saw only one employee there at that moment), the lady was very polite said yes if I can wait because another employee was on break and be back soon. And we got piercing done there perfectly. AVOIDING THIS KIOSK IF YOU DONT WANT HEADACHE. ZERO Stars and close down...

I've been thinking of getting another pair of piercings with a helix one only on one of my ears (I was most afraid of that one). The ear piercer, Korina, was very attentive and made sure that the placement of the earrings, once pierced, were as symmetrical as possible which I really appreciated. Now onto the actual piercing, the lobe ones were very fast and pretty painless. It was the helix one that I was mentally preparing myself for but to my utter shock, it was as if all that built up stress I was giving myself was for nothing because it was over just like that. I think the reason for my great experience at Banter can be owed to Korina because not only was I done in under 20 minutes, but it was also not too painful. I definitely recommend...
