My only regret with Barre3 is not finding out about them sooner.
When you enter the studio, you are always and mean always greeted with a smile. I have been part of studios that you only book with certain instructors, thats not the case at Barre3, every instructor is amazing. They all have their own vibe that they bring to the class that makes working out fun. They all have this natural but fierce way of motivating and challenging you through class. Not to mention their playlists always keep the energy high in the studio. And they change their workout series every couple of weeks, so you don’t feel like you are doing the same workout every day. Not only, do workout changes, but they have so many classes to choose from. Signature being my favorite but I always take cardio and strength to build endurance and muscle.
Between all the amazing staff and workouts, I am so happy to say not only do I feel better physically but also mentally! I guess, that’s what working out will do to you!
I’ll shut up soon, but if you’re ever having one of those days you need a win, this studio gives you a win, time...
Read moreThere are not enough words in the dictionary to describe how much I love this studio - and barre3 in general. The workout is so effective. I learned how to intelligently listen to my body and engage muscles in a way that yoga never taught me (and I am a teacher!!). I really love these instructors, but I love the methodology and what's it's done for me physically and mentally. I look forward to this workout every day because of how strong it makes me feel, and I love seeing the diversity of ages and bodies in the room - all there for the same reason - to just feel healthy, strong, and safe ✨
Whether you live in NYC or are just visiting, I highly recommend. First class is free, and since it's a 2nd story studio, you get to see the hustle of West village while you practice, which I think is...
Read moreNot all the studio’s fault but barre isn’t for everyone! It was my first barre class. First, I was wayyy too hot and my sweating was distracting to me- AC should be higher. Also, I thought we’d use the bar more, but we didn’t use it all that much! I can do Pilates/aerobics at different studios or at home. I thought we’d do some cool and different ballet moves but it was mostly familiar exercises. Also, crowded, as everyone says. If you like barre3 already you’ll probably like this but if you don’t like sweat messing up your contacts and you already run/swim/do yoga and Pilates I don’t see what this adds. A lot of people had bad form. I like iyengar yoga classes bc of their insistence on form and getting my aerobic through running...
