Battery Park Vision easily gets the gold medal for Covid extremism. I arrived at my appointment double masked and fully vaccinated (including booster shot). However, this was not enough for the BPV staff, who maniacally insisted that I replace my masks—which I had only put on literally seconds earlier—with one their “dry” masks. Of course, the staff did not extend the same courtesy to me; not one of the employees—who were all only single masked--put on a new “dry” mask when I entered. Further, their Covid policies prohibit patients from using their bathroom, a true hardship for a business located in the far SW corner of Manhattan. I told receptionist I wanted to schedule and purchase glasses and contact lens from this office but after a very uncomfortable discussion about some nuances like why I emphasized pronunciation of parts of my name (and receptionist laughed at that) and how she said it’s my fault for not knowing all the details of vision insurance and for me to figure it out (she talked down to me), I decided to purchase/schedule elsewhere.

She gave me a terrible attitude and hung up on me twice simply because I was asking questions that I had every right to ask. When I called back after the first time, her "greeting" to me was "EXCUSE ME I didn't hang up on you." It's mind blowing that you'd put such a nasty, miserable person at the face of your brand and business. Pro tip: you're probably losing patients because of her poor attitude and behavior.
