Battery Place Market Corp — Local services in New York

I love our little neighborhood market — they pack a ton of things in this small footprint. Great variety and quantity of products.

Disappointment is around the deli —- understaffed, slow, and limited hours. They shut down early (for NYC) which limits options for those of us who live here. They pre make salads and sandwiches but then lock them up and no one is at the counter so I have to ask the one person in the store to grab one. Not sure why they don’t leave them out so customers can buy them (not even suggesting they keep the deli itself open).

Fresh quick wraps and other prepared lunch dishes. Good selection of fresh vegetables. The soup is where it is at here. Every day the cook has 3 new soups of the day, each being authentic in flavor and then some. Broths to each soup have their own flavor appeal without being too thick and unctuous like Hale and Hearty. Don't bother with the chicken noodle soup as it is not nearly as spectacular as the others hidden...

Deli customer service is awful. So rude. Never will come back again. I could understand if I requested anything extra, but just ordered a salad. That’s set. Guys, if you are tired, just take some rest. There is nothing to be rude with customers for that. People pay for the food, they don’t get it for free.
