Cool venue for indie bands to rock out and fans to get up close and personal with. The place is divided into a front section with bar and small standing room only area. If you pay a cover and go behind the curtain to the stage area, you're treated to an intimate setting complete with large bar, standing tables and within reach of the lead singer and your fellow super fans. One of the best (strangest?) parts about the club is the webcam on their website that lets you watch the stage. You can get a taste for the Bowery Poetry Club without even leaving your room-- but only a taste. The atmosphere makes all...
