Stepping into Olive Garden, one is immediately enveloped by the warm, inviting ambiance that promises a culinary journey reminiscent of a cozy Italian trattoria. Among the many delights on the menu, the Linguini and Meatballs stands out as a dish that not only satisfies the palate but also tells a story of tradition and passion. The presentation of the Linguini and Meatballs is a visual feast. The linguini, perfectly al dente, serves as a delicate bed for the generously sized meatballs, which are bathed in a rich, velvety marinara sauce. The vibrant red of the sauce, dotted with fresh basil and grated Parmesan, is a testament to the freshness and quality of the ingredients used. The first bite is a revelation. The linguini, with its perfect texture, provides a delightful contrast to the tender, succulent meatballs. Each meatball is a masterpiece, a harmonious blend of ground beef and pork, seasoned to perfection with a medley of herbs and spices. The marinara sauce, with its robust flavor and subtle sweetness, ties the dish together, creating a symphony of flavors that dance on the tongue. What truly sets Olive Garden's Linguini and Meatballs apart is the attention to detail and the authenticity of the flavors. The sauce, slow-cooked to perfection, boasts a depth and complexity that speaks of hours spent simmering, allowing the flavors to meld and intensify. The meatballs, with their perfect balance of tenderness and firmness, are a testament to the skill and care of the chefs. Beyond the flavors, there is a sense of comfort and nostalgia that accompanies each bite. It is a dish that evokes memories of family gatherings, of laughter and love shared over a hearty meal. It is a reminder of the simple joys of life, of the pleasure of good food and good company. In conclusion, Olive Garden's Linguini and Meatballs is more than just a dish; it is an experience. It is a celebration of Italian culinary tradition, a testament to the power of good food to bring people together. Whether you are a seasoned connoisseur of Italian cuisine or a first-time visitor, this dish is sure to leave an indelible mark on your culinary memory. Buon appetito!

It started with curiosity. A place that holds mythical status in the pantheon of Times Square National Fast Casual Restaurant Chains. A place that has earned the devotion of celebrities like Post Malone and attracted journalists from the likes of Food & Wine Magazine to challenge themselves with the Unlimited Pasta Pass. Now, it was OUR TURN to cross the river styx. We walked in off the sticky sidewalk and were greeted by crisp air conditioning and the nonchalant hostess. She was also a time traveler. Our original wait time was 20 to 25 minutes and miraculously four minutes into ascending the grand staircase to the waiting area on the second floor when we the got the text message. Our table was ready. We went up the next set of stairs to the host stand on the third floor, where the employee clubhouse exists. Four employees posted here, and none knew what was happening. As a team we found our table and held hands for prayer. It was at that very moment a manager came to our table and offered to compliment us with two appetizers. We placed our order. Yet again, time travel must have entered the picture, because not more than a few minutes after placing our order we were greeted by the parade of garlic breadsticks, croutons, shredded cheese confetti, apps, and entrees. We did our best to shovel the bountiful vittles into our gullets. But alas, our mortal bodies could only take so much. Our server, without judgment, presented us with a stack of to-go boxes and two bags (to double bag the heft that was sure to come). He placed these takeout containers and a bonus bag of breadsticks down on the table and vanished as if an angel were haunting our table. We politely declined desert - a sin but a necessity so we would still be able to hobble home on our own two legs. Our server ended the night by giving us each a hearty handshake and a fair thee well. Overall: Friendly quirky disorganized - and that’s what you’d expect. Ordered: Shrimp frito misto Lasagna fritta Chicken parmigiana extra crispy (Post Malone-style) Seafood Alfredo Italian Margarita Watermelon Sangria Unlimited Salad and Breadsticks

Man, I never thought I would visit an Olive Garden in NYC, much less give them 5-stars, but here we are. Had out of country guests who wanted to try the "famous" American chain they had heard all about so we stopped by this flagship location right on the heart of Times Square at 6:15PM on a Saturday night. Got the last table near the bar with outdoor views of the mayhem that is Times Square (costumes, blunts, drunk teenagers near to having sex on the sidewalk). Waiter (Wilson) was one of the hardest workers we have ever seen - he was single handedly taking orders, making drinks, clearing and cleaning tables, and delivering food. We told him we only had an hour to make a show and he said he would take care of it (he did, we left right on time). He quickly brought us water and nice $8 cocktails. Salad, soup, and bread sticks arrived next and he was quickly on top of refills and second rounds (shocked they honor the "never-ending salad and soup" at this location). Finally, entrees arrived shortly after. We all know what Olive Garden tastes like and this was that exactly - delicious crisp salad, buttery salty bread, large bowls of hearty, hot, and salty soup. Entrees were large and just like the Italian you get at other fast food Italian places. Prices are 10-20% more than your local Garden, but for Times Square and the quantity of food, this may be one of the best bargains in 10 blocks (other more "local" nearby Italian was closer to double the price of here). We all could not believe how fast we were able to have a 3 course sit down meal (at our request) and all left stuffed and happy with our fast taste of Italian favorites. Will I be back here on my own in future visits? Not likely because that's not why I travel but hooray for Wilson and those who need their fix, this place delivered. Grazie!

They charged extra! It was a robbery and a lack of respect!

I was at Olive Garden in Times Square today, September 20, 2023, and I was extremely disappointed with the DISHONESTY of the employees at this unit! My wife and I were extremely poorly looked after, from arrival to departure! To begin with, when we sat down at the table, I went to the bathroom and my wife stayed at the table to order dishes for us! When I came back, she told me that the waitress was extremely impatient with her as she didn't speak English very well! He treated her very rudely! After this event, my wife left her purse on the next chair, and another waitress simply took the chair with the purse and placed it on another table, without saying anything! My wife, without understanding anything, took the bag and even heard the employee complain about her doing that! All it took was for the waitress to tell my wife to get her bag, or something like that, but she chose to act extremely rude!

Given these two incidents, when I asked for the bill, I informed the waitress that I would only tip 5%, and she looked me in the face, explained to me that this would be added after the bill, and then laughed and said: “And that 5% It’s really bad” and turned away! Another COMPLETE ABSURD on the part of the restaurant staff!

On the invoice itself it says that I can feel free to decide the amount of the tip, and when I decide the employees make fun of me? and now comes the worst part! I simply went to the computer with the waitress to make the payment, since my card was digital and was on my cell phone. In the system there was a pre-approved payment of 18% of the tip, which I told her I did not agree with! In the end I signed the receipt saying that the payment would only be 5%, I did the math and the amount would be 29.48 dollars. When leaving the restaurant, I was still surprised by this same employee slapping the menu extremely hard, as if trying to scare us, in an attitude that was beyond ridiculous. and to my surprise, upon arriving at my hotel, checking the statements, the restaurant charged me the price of 32.72 dollars! Again

I affirm that I have the receipt with my signature ensuring that this amount would not be paid! In other words, what the Olive Garden in Times Square did was a robbery, a disrespectful attitude towards the customer that tarnishes such a strong name that the company has!

How safe will I be to return to a place like this? In addition to treating customers badly, they act in bad faith and charge the amount they want as a tip, even if the customer has informed and signed another amount! I want to know what the company's position is in this regard! It was worth considering that it was my first time in NY, and I was amazed by the city and everything it has to offer! It's a shame to have had this...

I’ve never had an experience like tonight at any restaurant regarding my food allergies. I have a severe egg and milk allergy (anaphylactic reaction), usually waiters and the kitchen is very good at dealing with this problem. Our waiter started us off with breadsticks and a salad, of which I asked what was in the salad dressing. It took us asking for our waiter to check the dressing 2 times before he checked after he said “I’m sure it’s fine”. He came back after 15 minutes and told us it had egg, of which I was able to check in the meantime to see it had egg and cheese in the dressing. When we got our drinks he forgot to bring us one of our drinks and replaced it with a drink we didn’t order. We took that drink and he asked if we wanted another ice tea (the drink he forgot) to which I responded with yes. We never got that ice tea and we were billed for all 3 drinks. When we got our meal, I had asked for the salmon because it’s the easiest thing to order with my allergies specifically asking for no parmesan garlic on my broccoli and no garlic butter on the salmon, which was no the case. When I took a bite of my broccoli I felt myself reacting immediately and spit it out. I waved the waiter over to ask if it was parmesan on the broccoli where he responded, “no I think that’s garlic”. Since I didn’t know what cheese tasted like I had my girlfriend try some of it to confirm of which she confirmed it was and had it sent back to get fresh broccoli. From there my girlfriends parents were pretty fed up and confronted the waiter where he then deflected and said I had never asked for the salmon without Parmesan or butter where he showed his order pad where he didn’t write it down. It felt like he was blaming me for something I and my girlfriends family very clearly remember doing. He did do the right thing and brought the manager over and later apologized for the situation. I was very nice to the guy and I hope he’ll take it as a learning experience like he did he would. However, I do warn you if you have allergies, be careful and emphasize your condition, because with the staff right now it doesn’t feel like a safe...
