So I went in to get my tuxedo short hair checked out I informed the intake nurse of my concerns about costs. I got the idea to do so from a sign in the waiting area that suggests to inform the staff of any financial concerns. I also informed the doctor. Dr did an ultrasound and informed me of the costs and asked if it’s ok and I confirmed that it was. After the ultrasound I was brought to the painful conclusion that I’d have to put my cat to sleep. I again told the doctor of my concerns regarding costs and she told me not to worry and there is a payment plan. She didn’t get into specifics. I asked her “are you sure? Because the receptionist at the front desk said that you guys don’t do payment plans?” She made a face and said “yes they do over the course of six months” I paid my balance for the visit and ultrasound and left. I came back later in the evening with my teenage daughter and my co parent. The procedure was explained to us. It was really hard for us. Even typing this is really hard for me. But I can’t just not say anything. We were able to watch Dr push the medication for Kitty Love to be put to sleep but nothing more. It was too much to bare. Dr said I was good to go, hugged me and the receptionist Erica reminded me that I had to check out. She told me “it’s $496 today” (including a paw print, I could have done without it but my daughter really wanted it) I explained to the receptionist the conversation I had with Dr and staff and she said “we don’t do payment plans” I said reiterated what Dr told me and also told her Dr did not tell me it was going to be $496 up front. She said “one moment” and then came back and said “ Dr said she spoke to you this morning and said she did tell you the cost”. I was baffled because no she did not and she told me that assured me that payment plan was in fact an option. The reception said again “we don’t do payment plans”. I explained that she did say that a payment plan over the course of six months was an option. So then the receptionist goes “yeah that’s CareCredit”. I said “care what? Excuse me?”. Erica reiterated and then said with hand gestures and all included “YOU HAVE TO APPLY FOR THE CARE CREDIT TO PAY THIS BALANCE OF 496.00 TODAY!” then she said “sorry I’m just the middle man. The lady behind me made a face as to say “whoa” Erica was super loud and I was so embarrassed. I explained that I could have it by the following week (next paycheck) but to no avail. This diagnosis was unexpected I thought my cat caught a bug and we were just going to get meds and go home ($200 tops) I had no idea it was going to end like this. Well my coparent ended up stepping in to put the expenses on his credit card. She said “It went through, sorry for your loss.” I know this is a business and you must see plenty of animals walk in and get unexpected diagnosis and outcomes everyday but I must say the way I was treated was horrible and I wish I would’ve received some grace. I felt awful. 🤢 Erica was ridiculously nasty to make it worse and perhaps Dr didn’t know but to tell the receptionist that she told me if the costs for this evening is not true. I understand she sees many patients maybe she forgot idk I want to give her the benefit of the doubt and at the same time I’m so overwhelmed with embarrassment and grief. Just can’t believe it.    Read moreI took in a stray cat last year and brought her here to check her out. I made the mistake of telling them she was a stray because they really tried to milk the situation.
First off, they told me that she needed a dental surgery that would cost minimum $1,200 and that if we didn’t do it then eventually she would be unable to eat anything. I trusted them and agreed to go along with it. They told me it was also necessary to get her spayed if she wasn’t and that would be an extra $500. They wanted to shave her to check and I asked them not to. She was very skittish and was a chipped cat that had been abandoned so we wanted to try to do some research before traumatizing her like that. They shaved her anyways against my wishes.
Flash forward we found proof of spay and had the vet records emailed to them. They completely ignored it and kept insisting they spay her and said they were unable to change to chart to say she was spayed even though I got them proof. I was told it was my fault for not telling them sooner. They told me I would have to remind them on the morning on the surgery to not do the spay. I was genuinely concerned that they were going to cut her open for nothing if I left her there.
I decided to get a second opinion, and it was all bull. They said she had early signs of gingivitis, but that was completely normal and suggested we try to brush her teeth as much as she will let us.
I don’t trust...
Read morePrior to the appointment I was told they specialize in a specific ailment my pet was going through. Instead of any care, I was taken to a side room with a “veterinarian” named Amy Lin & she wants to put him down and the most disturbing & disgusting "Sorry for you’re loss" with my pet still alive. I asked about the medication for the ailment and she literally googled in front of me. She had no idea what she was doing and ESPECIALLY not as the specialist they claimed to be in. Literally googling the condition they “specialize in” - a JOKE. This was a complete scam from this clinic & the refused to refund after the owner admitting the vet was poor I was given too!!!
Went to another vet & guess what - he needed a higher dose on the medication he’s on.
Makes me sick to see veterinarian malpractice in action & the thought of what poor pets have passed due to the incompetence at this clinic.
I've NEVER seen such unprofessionalism and lack of care from any clinic - EVER. DO NOT COME HERE THEY WANT TO KILL YOUR PET.
