5th Avenue Party Hall — Local services in New York

Worst place to throw a party, the owner ruined my sons birthday party and was not even apologetic. On Sep 18, 2021 we had a signed contract that he would open the venue at 1:30 pm to my decoration & Photobooth people I hired for my 4pm party. I was calling him since 11am to see if he would be on time and no answer. My decoration and photo booth people were waiting outside since 1:30 until they eventually had to leave to other parties at 3pm. The food even got delivered and everything was outside until my husband called me to help him pick everything up and when I get there at 4:30 HE DECIDES TO SHOW UP. I go in there really mad because i already lost $700 dollars for my photo booth and decoration people. I told him that I can still use the venue if he gives us the venue till 12am and THE OWNER DECIDES TO CATCH AN ATTITUDE BECAUSE I'M TRYING TO "GIVE HIM ORDERS" AND "TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HIM" after he was unprofessional and never answered the phone. The cherry ontop of this whole situation after we asked for our money back was when he came back from the bank and said he owed us $200 dollars because he couldn't take out more cash from the ATM. Definitely left with all my money in hand. RIDICULOUS...

I just booked a date to have my first event I can't wait until that day comes I very excited for getting my slef ready to have my very first baby shower. I had been to some party's that my friends had at this place a while back and I thought the spot was amazing. looking forward for a good one I can't wait...
