I am so thrilled with my experience!

First off, the sanitiser at the door, the disposable mask, and watching Danielle Chiz sanitize everything after her last client made me feel Bubu truly cares about keeping us safe during the trying times of the Covid pandemic.

We took some time to talk about what I wanted. It felt like a mini consultation before my appointment and was very in depth. The atmosphere was welcoming and Danielle is clearly very knowledgeable. This made me feel more comfortable in a hair colorists chair than I ever have. I had confidence that my hair would come out fantastic and it did! I could not be happier with both the color and style.

I feel this cut is going to be a lot more manageable. Even waking up the next morning it looks decent before I even style it, which feels like a miracle. My color is exactly what I wanted. I honestly don't think my past hair stylists have ever done toners or glazes afterwards. I really feel those last two steps helped. It was also nice for her to tell me they can do glazes between color appointments to help revitalize my red.

The atmosphere of the studio is cute and relaxing. I was offered water which was a nice touch. Overall I would highly recommend this salon and Danielle. I will definitely be coming back for my next...

This review is well overdue! I began going to Danielle Chiz in July 2022 after seeing someone with the exact hair color I wanted. She said to go to see Danielle, the owner at Bubu. Danielle gave my hair life again! I walked out feeling so good and beautifully blonde 😉I told her exactly what I wanted and she went above and beyond. I had been to two other high end salons in NYC and nearly left in tears because it looked exactly the same as it did when I walked in 🥴 no one even noticed my hair was done 🥲 After I saw Danielle, everyone noticed and everyone loved it 🥰 Not only is she an amazing hair colorist/stylist, she is so sweet and very easy to talk to. She made me feel comfortable right away. She’s calm, kind, honest and listens to her client’s needs and wants. This is hard to find in NYC. I adore her and her salon. The salon itself is the perfect size and I love the decor. The other stylists were friendly and quite funny too, so it’s an overall great experience going there. The time flies and boom…you’re looking great and feeling so good. I am so grateful to have found Danielle. I am with her for the long haul. ...

I was really hesitant to post this because I don’t usually leave bad reviews for small businesses, and I was given a refund, but the experience I had here was awful and will take more than a year to grow out and hundreds of dollars to have corrected. The stylist didn’t listen to anything I asked for and completely ignored the reference photo I showed him. I asked for two inches off the bottom with some framing layers around my face and I received a mullet with 5-6 inches cut off in some places. It’s choppy, has no direction, and is objectively a hot mess. On top of everything, he was 45 minutes late and no one said anything to me to let me know he was running late the entire time I was waiting.
