Capital One Bank — Local services in New York

Dirty vestibule. Higher atm fee for non customers than the closest store with an atm. Feels totally unsafe because the doors doesn't close completely behind you and have to keep looking to see if someone if coming in behind you while making a withdrawal transaction.

Updated 4/4/22 the condition WORSENED since my initial review. The lobby reeked of urine and it's a makeshift homeless bedroom after regular business hours. See attached photos. I went in (my mistake) to make an emergency atm withdrawal and there wasn't 1 or 2 but 3 people in the atm area as if it's THEIR BEDROOM looking at me like I don't belong there. The strong overbearing smell of urine was the secondary reason I immediately left.

Management will say as a reply they're addressing the situation as they did to my original review, but the problems only get worse

Went to this location on 1/24/20 at 12:40 P.M. to deposit money in my account. The lines for tellers was so long, I decided to deposit using the ATM. Deposited my cash into the ATM and it read error and took all my money. Reported the issue to the employees and they said to call a put a claim in for my money. I deposited my entire check and the best they could do was accredit me within ten business days. While I was placing the complaint about the money, no one turned off the ATM or opened it up to count the money. While I put the claim in they didn't even accredit me with some sort of credit for my money. I was entirely disappointed with the entire experience...

I had gone to open a new account and a gentleman by the café area helped me. It was simple and easy to do. Once he took me to the teller to make my first deposit, I was disappointed, the teller didnt even say hello nor spoke to me, she kept talking to the other teller that was also with a customer. She did no eye contact or anything. Very unprofessional for a bank like Capital One, I've had my credit account for almost a decade but finally decided to open a checking account.
