The Quality of the Clothes are good. The Store is nicely set up but there's really nothing different from any other store in Downtown New York City Soho Area. The Service is very poor & this is why . . . Carhartt & Vans were teaming up for a special sneaker release. I anticipated the Carhartt WIP x Vans Syndicate 2012 Old School Camo in a Size 10. I called a week in advance to make sure of what date they would receive the sneaker. They kept giving me different dates and when i was asked if i could be notified of when the sneakers would arrive the employee laughed and said "i would have to make a hundred calls or send a hundred emails" i was thinking to myself what better does this guy have to do. Especially in this day and age with all the technology we have to communicate. Plus when i arrived at the store as i will mention later in this review both employees were sitting in front of the store chatting as if they had nothing to do. i think robots would work better than those two. But back to what i was saying, If not a call at least an email to notify someone that the store receive the item would be a great method of customer service. So i called the store this past Friday (Sept. 7th) in the afternoon the store employee then told me that the sneakers were held up in customs at the airport and that they should have them by Monday. So Monday finally comes, i call the store and i couldn't get through to anyone at all because all the voice messages are full and nobody erased them. This made me upset that i would have to go all the way down to the store with out knowing if they had my size or not. Someone should have erased the messages. I then went down to the store after work to find the two employees sitting outside in front of the store chatting it up. I asked about the sneakers i wanted and he tells me they're sold out to try looking on Ebay for them but i will have to pay more money and I'm sure this is the same guy I've been speaking to on the phone this whole time. It completely ruined my day enough for me to go home sour and write this review on how poor the service is and Carhartt's...

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with my recent experience at your store in New York City. Despite spending over $250 on clothing, my purchase was marred by a severe issue: one of the garments was visibly damaged, resembling bleaching. Upon discovering the damage, I promptly reached out to your customer service team via email. Unfortunately, it took a whole week to receive any response. Despite providing detailed information about the situation in subsequent emails, I am still waiting for further communication or resolution from your end, even after almost four weeks. This level of customer service is unacceptable. Not only am I dissatisfied with the quality of my purchase, but your team's lack of response and assistance exacerbates the situation. It reflects poorly on your brand and demonstrates a disregard for customer satisfaction. As a result of this experience, I have lost faith in your store and will not be returning as a customer. Please immediately address this issue and restore my confidence in your brand. Without a satisfactory resolution, I will be compelled to share my negative experience...

Absolutely dreadful customer service I am an avid Carhartt enthusiast and collector, and I was excited to come in and spend money for an upcoming trip but the moment I walked in, I picked up a shirt that made me excited and an employee rudely looked me in the face and proclaimed “PLEASE PUT THAT DOWN!” in a very condescending tone like I was a child to scold…as if I ruined the whole store unfolding one thing to look at it to buy it. It was such an uncalled for interaction and to be honest it just soured me on the whole experience so I ended up turning around and walking out the door. Carhartt started out as a working man’s brand now I go into the store and met with a pretentious frankly over zealous employee, who doesn’t want to take the time to refold one shirt as somebody who worked in hospitality. I am very disappointed in my experience. If I were management, I would think twice about hiring people who don’t know how to talk to customers. I didn’t get his name, but he was a tall brunette. Do better!

This was 15 minutes ago…definitely going to source my Carhartt from vintage stores from now on. Thanks,...

11/16; 5pm. I recently came across a nasty review these tourists made about the kind security guard at the front of the store. I was in the line when this all occurred and I just want to start by saying that these entitled, and arrogant tourists got it all wrong. The security guard gave me no problems or the other people in line who were patiently waiting, unlike the tourists. The security guard was kindly asking the tourists to wait outside the store for the customers who are inside to come out. These tourists clearly have never been in New York or have any common sense because most stores in the city have you wait outside until a specific number of customers get out of the store. They do this in order to keep the store at a maximum capacity for customers to shop. If these spoiled tourists waited patiently like the rest of the customers in line, they would’ve been able to get inside the store. The security guard was just kindly doing his job.

Nov-16, 5pm. The guard asked to wait despite there were no queues. We waited until 2 customers come out. We politely asked if we can come in now. And that guy went crazy - started shouting at us saying that we come in when he wants. It was very aggressive and rude. He literally didn’t give me a chance to put any word in between his mad speech. It think that’s because we were the only white people who wanted to come in. Therefore, I assume that was a racist behavior. Later he made a photo despite we asked not to do that. I genuinely believe that the store management will check the cameras and will make descent decision. I was a loyal customer of the brand. Not sure now if I’ll return to this store anymore…. Be careful and stay safe.
