Terrible customer service for such expensive items. I received a pair of the US SIZE 14 - EU 47 sneakers as listed on the website. This organization is exceptionally bad at what they do, so naturally their sizing chart is completely wrong and their service is even worse. Every other chart for sizing standards quotes that US size 14 is a 48 in European sizing equivalents. The shoes, however, say they are a size 14 US on their website. Because this was a gift for my birthday, their 2 week return policy was expired by just a few days as they were in opened until given as a gift on my birthday. Not only are the print on the bottom of the shoes listed as 13/47 (for US/EU sizing, they stalled and stalled and said that this number was part of the order number or package number), the service team said that there was nothing they could do, and that we were the ones who ordered the wrong size. Somehow they don’t control the sizing on the print of their shoes and only their website, so they claim they aren’t liable because the tongue of the shoe has the corresponding European sizing as shown on the website, despite their conversion being blatantly wrong and the shoe ITSELF stating the size is incorrect as advertised for US sizing. My girlfriend lost out on what I assume is 200 dollars for mass-produced, rebranded garbage (because they don’t even seem to control the manufacturing or production quality of their own shoes, based on what they said) while some text chat service rep parroted the same boilerplate response over and over again that she couldn’t exchange, return, or do anything of substance regarding the issue, despite their shoe having the wrong size printed on the bottom of their product and having conflicting information on their website. Terrible service. Would recommend never ordering from them if you value quality service and proper sizing, and dealing with people who understand what good business practices look like, that can also perform basic mathematics. Oh, and I forgot to mention this as it’s been an issue for many other customers: they refuse to take back the shoes because they have such an emphasis on a “consistent customer experience” past a 2 week return policy, yet the consistent customer experience is pre-worn shoes. Mine were also obviously a return, as stated by others, as the leather on the heel was creased. When you’re paying 200-300 dollars for high end shoes, you don’t expect cut-rate business practices that won’t keep people coming back. At the bottom you will clearly see a photo from on the shoe - it’s listed as 13/47 even though the site says it’s 14/47 and customer service is still trying to lie about it and work around it to get out of giving us a refund, or even...
Read moreHere's my genuine review of my experience with Oliver Cabell. In my quest for an exquisite pair of white shoes, I had been actively contemplating the purchase of Alexander McQueen's white sneakers. During this process, I stumbled upon Oliver Cabell through various YouTube videos that captivated my attention. I meticulously absorbed every video they had to offer and conducted thorough searches on both Reddit and Google.
Ultimately, my discerning choice led me to opt for Oliver Cabell, primarily because of their prestigious Italian craftsmanship and their commitment to utilizing exceptionally high-quality leather. Upon placing my order, I eagerly awaited its arrival, which was projected for four days post-order placement. With excitement building, I took to Google once more to revisit the details of my purchase, only to stumble upon disconcerting reviews highlighting issues with delivery and unresponsive customer service.
On a daily basis, I found myself checking the status of my order, and at last, the status indicated delivery. However, upon returning home, I discovered my package was nowhere to be found. Initiating contact with Oliver Cabell's customer service, I was informed that I would need to exercise patience for approximately two weeks before they could address my concern. To my relief, following the stipulated time frame, the assistance I received from their customer service was incredibly effective in resolving the matter.
Now, let me express my unequivocal admiration for these shoes. Admittedly, the initial wear was slightly challenging; I embarked on a ten-hour-long venture wearing them continuously. This journey included exhaustive shopping and prolonged periods of standing. Since that inaugural day, these shoes have transformed into a haven of comfort, exceeding my expectations. I am wholeheartedly enamored by this footwear and find myself consistently reaching for them. It's safe to say that I'm already contemplating my next purchase from Oliver Cabell.
In closing, I extend my heartfelt gratitude. I want to emphasize that I reside in the United States, in case that detail is...
Read moreSometime in early January my wife forwarded me a 8/2024 WSJ article on German Athletic Trainers, in which Oliver Cabell was mentioned favorably.
Based upon the article (and because I already owned a pair of very comfortable Oliver Cabell size 12 penny loafers), I ordered a pair of black GATs from Oliver Cabell. Because size 12s were not available they estimated the shipment to happen in February.
There was no follow up from the company until I inquired in April. They did not acknowledge being two months overdue. They simply said they’d ship them right away. Were they going to notice my two-month overdue order had I not emailed?
The shoes arrived. They were impossibly tight despite being the same size 12 USA /45 UK size as my comfortable Cabell penny loafers. Of note, the shoe has 298 reviews with a 5 star rating on the Cabell site but now that I’m wiser I saw a 3.2 rating on Google. Most 1 star reviews center around poor workmanship, poor quality. And many comment that the shoe was no longer made in Italy but was made in Vietnam. Mine say “designed in Italy, made in Cambodia.”
After a week of using their company’s shoe trees to attempt to stretch them and walking in them, each step hurt. Unable to secure a size 13 due to lack of inventory ( and no foreseeable future inventory), I asked for a refund, which was declined because “the shoes had been worn.”
The reviews on their site are gated to 5.0, whereas Google reviews are truer. It is not a company I would ever recommend again. The customer support initially kicked the request for a refund up the chain but eventually they just told me there was nothing they could do because I had worn them to give them the ultimate chance at stretching ( and because they don’t have, still, a size 13 in stock). Having a company that is internally inconsistent in their sizing is poor quality management. I would not buy from this company again. Francisco Canales ( using a shared gmail...
