Crockett & Jones — Local services in New York

I purchased a pair of cognac oxfords and a matching belt from Crockett and Jones’ online store. The shoes fit perfectly but the belt was unfortunately one size too small. I live nearby their SoHo store and decided to return the belt there.

When I explained this to the store associate, I was told that they wouldn’t accept the return in the store and that I would need to return the item myself in order to receive a refund.

It is shocking that a brand that charges $800+ for a pair of shoes provides a level of service that is inferior to a Nordstrom. The staff at the store were entirely unaccommodating and even dismissive of a basic request.

Nothing luxurious about that experience. I’ll be seeking out any of the many other competitors at that price point should I need another nice...

Shoe shopping can be stressful, but this store was actually really chill and the customer service here is top-notch. I spent an hour or so trying on shoes at this location, and the staff, both Luis and Anthony, were incredibly patient, helpful, and pleasant to talk to! They gave me my space and time when trying on different sizes, and were always available/checked up on me when I needed assistance. I did a lot of research on C&J boots before coming into the store to try on. With any quality boot, it really pays to try them on before buying. I had a meeting in the city so decided to pop into the SoHo store. Great experience. The store is beautiful, Anthony and Luis were pure class. A truly enjoyable.
