last October I decided to travel to Tokyo, Japan. As a first time traveler to the city, a lot of friends of mine had recommended to get some money exchanged because although Tokyo is a very modern and popular city, surprisingly, a lot of the tourists and natives there do not speak English, so it would be difficult for a foreigner to locate a currency exchange shop. With that being said, a friend of mine recommended me to go the currency exchange on Lexington Avenue. The two associates that helped me were great. They both greeted me as I entered the establishment and were extremely friendly. They were able to give me a few recommendations as to how much money to exchange and even advised a few shops and restaurants to go to after I told them it would be my first time going. I'd like to emphasize on the satisfactory level of customer service that I was provided. They both took their time in assisting me from telling me the worth of the exchange to helping me with quick directions on how to get back home to Brooklyn, as there was torrential rain that day and my flight was that same night. I'd like to say that a great level of satisfactory customer assistance is one of those experiences that keeps you going back to an establishment and it's what makes a customer refer several others. Helping someone and having an overall positive attitude really can make a large impact on someone's day. I totally recommend anyone looking to exchange some money to go to this place. They are the...
Read moreCustomer service is great and I like that they always have the currency I need for travel. The currency exchange for euro to dollars is fair and reasonable. However the currency exchange at this place from morrocan dirham to us dollars is exorbitant at 1 dollar to .1190 MAD, however the international value is 1 dollar to .097 MAD. According to international currency value I should have 3613 dirhams for 350 American dollars. Instead I received 2960 dirhams which is American 286 for 350 dollars. So I paid american 350 to get dirham value in american that is 286. That means that 64 of those dollars did not go through a currency exchange but was a part of the exchange value service this business has put in place for the value of american dollar to MAD. Word of caution, look at currency value online and understand that some currencies are closed currency like dirhams, with these currencies, its actually better to exchange in the destination like in the airport when you arrive there. Lesson learned the hard way...lol.. I have had really great experiences here in the past but this time disappointmented with the dollar to dirham exchange. My receipt is on Google images...
Read moreExcellent experience with amazing staff! I had reserved my order online for in-store pickup and received a phone call from Natalia no less than 10 minutes after placing the order to inform me that my order was ready for pickup. Upon reaching the location, I was greeted and helped by Eka who explained the current exchange rate (which was exactly the same as the online rate a few days prior!) and helped me choose which denominations to receive. Shoutout to Natalia and Eka who were extremely helpful and made the process very easy. I will definitely be returning in the future for all of my currency...
