Five-Star Experience at the Head Spa!

My two daughters (ages 19 and 12) and I recently visited this head spa for the first time, and it was such a memorable experience. We booked the 40-minute scalp treatment at $60 each, and it was absolutely worth it. The treatment included a relaxing hair wash, a gentle yet effective scalp massage, and even a bit of neck massage. All three of us found it incredibly soothing — exactly what we needed!

We also opted to try the ear picking add-on. It was definitely a unique experience! While it wasn’t as relaxing as the scalp treatment and took a bit of getting used to, I’m glad I gave it a try. My 12 year old did not do the ear picking. They said it wasn’t good for children her age.

The staff were wonderful — kind, friendly, and very professional. They made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. One small downside: although we reserved for all three of us, we ended up going one at a time instead of together because we missed the confirmation call earlier in the day. Just something to keep in mind — make sure to answer that call!

The massage was okay, it felt more like a hair wash than anything. But my bigger issue is that either this treatment is not meant for CURLY hair, or this salon is not. I don’t expect them to know how to treat my hair but for example, when I arrived, my hair was not knotted. But Because they’re washing your hair and massaging your scalp, curly hair will naturally become tangled. At the end of the session I was told that my hair is too knotted, that I have too much hair, and next time to come with it unknotted. As I stated, my hair was not knotted that day & I have no shame in admitting when it is. But It became that way because of the scalp massages and the washing she did. In the end, my hair was a huge tangled mess and they didn’t do anything about it. They told me that everything was done. I ended up untangling my hair and putting in product myself before I left. Again, I don’t expect them to know how to manage my hair, however, they could’ve went without the comments. Especially since their treatment is what lead to my hair becoming the mess that it was. OMG!!! This was my first time at Unique as well as my first experience at a head spa. The treatment that I got was called the signature head spa. My appointment was with Yo-yowho was amazing from the minute. I walked in. She made this experience so relaxing, and my scalp and hair feel so fresh and amazing. She did the scalp analysis and showed me all the dry skin and gunk in my scalp. We then went into the treatment area where she I received the most anmazing mini massage annd scalp treatments and at the end did a second scalp analysis to show me how fresh my scalp was looking. I would highly recommend trying this at least once and if you’re someone who suffers from headaches this is definitely an amazing treatment, if you go, I would definitely book with YoYo she was the absolute best.
