I appreciate that this pharmacy is open so late and will continue to serve patients past 9pm. However, the SOP of having patients shuffle between two separate pharmacy lines is pretty absurd. I got here at 8:30pm, waited on my first line for 15 minutes only to get to the front to verify my name, confirm I had insurance and then moved to another line. At the other line, I waited an additional 15 minutes for them to process my insurance. Then, on the third line (another 15 minutes), they processed my payment back on the first line. The whole time my medicine was already prepared in a brown paper bag that was shuffled between the two lines. I’m not sure why the process needs to be this tedious and I can only imagine how much worse this is for patients with disabilities or unable to stand for 45 minutes. But at least staff are...
Read moreGetting my script from CVS was the last step in my telehealth experience tonight. I got sick at work… left at 8p, had a telehealth appointment in the car, got my meds from CVS and got home to rest all in 1.5hours. This location is exceptional for any pharmacy open past 8p. The employees were kind and efficient. They worked well as a team, from what I could see. They respected the customers and each other. The store was clean. I do frequent pharmacies all over Brooklyn (due to my health condition) and this was the best CVS I’ve ever been in. And honestly, the best location out of all the major chain pharmacies. Great job. I don’t mind taking the time to write about you guys. I will send my scripts here when possible. Michael in the pharmacy was exceptional, kind, and efficient. Positive experiences deserve...
Read moreThis pharmacy does not call its customers or at least me when there’s a problem with filling a prescription. At least four times, different doctors have called in a prescription a week or more in advance, and there’s been one issue or another - “doesn’t come in that dosage”, or “ there’s a shortage of that medication, so we can’t fill the Rx”, or “two dosages of the same med were prescribed, so we flagged it”. So call me or the Doctor! Sounds like a fairly simple, standard courtesy. Seriously, I’m floored by this negligence. I should’ve changed pharmacies after 2 incidences if this. I’m now officially breaking up with this store on 9th Street...
