We had a truly special experience with Daisy Family Daycare. My son went there full-time from 7 months old to almost 2 years old until we unfortunately moved too far away to stay with Daisy. He started in their infant class and then transitioned to their toddler class. It truly felt like a family and it’s hard to express the gratitude I have for their help raising my son with such love, compassion, care, and professionalism. Each caregiver really cared about my son’s physical and mental well-being, and I knew from my discussions with them that he was always safe in their hands. I’m very glad that my son spent this early critical period at a small family daycare like Daisy. I think it provided him with a strong positive foundation to be ready for the transition to his new daycare in our new hometown.
The owner was always very communicative and her love for the children and thoughtfulness for the care program was evident. They provided a nurturing educational environment, with music, Spanish language, and yoga classes each week. Even months after moving, my son will still whip out his yoga moves out of nowhere. I love seeing him dance in the spur of the moment, knowing it was partially thanks to all of the movement and dance that Daisy exposed him to – from the structured dance playtime and the weekly music and language classes which incorporated movement, to the caregivers’ love for dance : ) The bilingual staff definitely enhanced my son's experience. My son’s learning exploded while at Daisy and I know he was in a great environment to nurture that.
A few other things that I think set Daisy apart from other daycares: Their flexibility to meet you where you are as a parent. When my son joined as an infant they were very accommodating with our preferred schedule and milk/mealtime approaches. I expected this to subside as he got older and transitioned to their toddler group (as it does at most other places), but they continued to be flexible. In addition, they cook all the meals for the toddlers!!! I can’t overstate how awesome this was (now that we’re at a different daycare that does not provide meals, sadly.) They provided breakfast, lunch, and snack. An amazing time- and mental energy-saver for the parents. I also loved that Daisy had their own backyard play space, much of which was shaded. Perfect for getting a lot of healthy fresh air and physical activity. FYI I know one of their locations was just renovated, so that’s a bonus. Also, we did our research and found this daycare to be competitive in terms of cost. Thank you Daisy family, we...
Read moreOur twins have been going to Daisy Family Daycare since they were 5 months old and they just turned 3. They are graduating soon and we are so sad to leave. Leaving my infant twins in the middle of a pandemic as a first time parent was one of the hardest thing I've ever done, but the entire staff at Daisy's made it so much easier. Over the past three years, Eti, Lela, Myriam, Tako and everyone else at Daisy's have treated my children like their own. They have three locations and the twins have made it through all of them, and everyone has been so caring, but also flexible and understanding, which was so important to us as working parents. The program changes as the kids grow and the twins have learned so much. They've had music, yoga, Spanish classes, art classes, I can see every day how fulfilling the activities are and the twins are so happy to go there every day. They have worked with us on eating, naps, potty training, etc. which was so helpful. They also have great outdoor spaces, which is wonderful in a city like New York. I really can't recommend this...
Read moreI brought my daughter to Daisy Family Daycare when she was only 3 months old and I had to return to work. As a new parent, I was terrified to leave my baby with other caretakers, but the wonderful people at Daisy set my mind at ease and helped me feel comfortable and confident each day. My daughter thrived at Daisy, and all of the staff were flexible, accommodating, kind, and treated her like a family member. Pick-ups and drop-offs couldn't be easier, and they helped her work on her milestones with the other babies. She also loved the music classes and going outside to play in the backyard, and we loved getting daily photos through the app. We had a wonderful experience at Daisy and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to...
