DC Flushing Market — Local services in New York

I used to go here occasionally but the last visit was just the last straw that broke the camel's back. You don't expect high quality customer service at Asian supermarkets but there is a bare minimum. However, the staff here is consistently unresponsive and horrible in attitude. It forces customers to adopt pushy or demanding attitudes just to get any shopping done. This means even if you're not pushy or rude, most likely, the other shoppers will be anyway. In any case, I've just had one too many bad experiences with horrible customer service for basic things like slow service, checking out, or choosing products that I have chosen not to come back again because shopping here always leaves me irritated.

The prices here are consistently more expensive than the bigger supermarkets and the selection is not as wide either so there is a lack of choice. You are much better off shopping at the bigger supermarkets only a block or two away. Also, its prepared food section is questionable in terms of hygiene since outside of lunch hours, you don't know how freshly made the food is. Again, there are restaurants that offer better quality for better prices.

The only reason I used to stop here was it was usually on the way to another destination but that convenience of location is no longer enough for me. I do not recommend this place at all unless you're really desperate and can't visit the other better...

DC Flushing Market is one of my favorite Chinese supermarkets in the neighborhood especially for its prepared food. We were so excited that they reopened even with limit products and no prepared food.

Their procedure against COVID-19 was good and we felt safe during shopping there. Before you enter the stores, the staff will help sanitizing shoes and hands. They also built up plastic protectors by the check out counters.

In before, their meat is very clean with good quality, so as an office lady to save cooking time I preferred to pay more and purchase all kinds of meat from here, but recently, I found their products are not handled good to match its high price, I bought their beef brisket many years, but it was not cleaned well and has a lot of fat on it which is different from the previous experience , is it the staff's negligence, or are they keep the fat on just to make more money?
