Double RL — Local services in New York

This store USED to be a great place to shop and ALL of the items USED to be made in the good old USA. NOW....I can’t even believe this store is affiliated with Ralph Lauren. Everything is made in China and the employees are absolutely terrible! My wife and I went into the store to look around and see if we wanted to procure any new items for the collection. My wife found a beautiful wool duster coat with a fur collar. They had 1 left and it was on the display. We asked Kat if we could try it on. The FIRST thing she said to my wife was, “This jacket will never fit you. Its a size 1 and I’m a size 3. So, you will need a size 3 or 4 maybe. Also, it’s completely sold out and this is the last one in our system.” Now...I want to know how someone like this gets hired at a place like this. Who is she to say what will fit and what won’t fit a person? And...she was too lazy to see if it truly was the last one in the system. We requested that the jacket be taken down so my wife could try it on. Kat then requests that it be tried on right there on the spot. She did not want to allow my wife to take the coat over to the mirrors to try on. My wife put the coat on and it fit perfectly. Not like we would buy it from Kat anyway. We then left the store and I made 1 call to the RL Mansion and guess what? They had the jacket in stock in every size. So now RL employees are stooping to lying just to make a sale? Who is this person Kat and how the hell did Ralph Lauren hire such a dump truck to represent one of their most exclusive brands? I will tell you this though...if you you decide to shop in this store, DO NOT let Kat help you. She has no clue what she’s talking about nor does she hold herself up to the customer service standards that a RL employee should have. She’s a liar and a big mouth. She needs to be fired...

I didn’t end up making a purchase but the experience was absolutely worth noting. Brian, who assisted me, is a true star. His knowledge of the store's offerings and his polite, attentive manner made my visit a genuine delight. Also loved Brian's fascinating insights into the distinctions between Northern and Southern preppy styles, diving into the historical and cultural nuances that define each variation. His detailed explanations of the unique ways to incorporate these styles into my wardrobe were enlightening and inspiring. I look forward to returning to Double RL Men’s here in Manhattan and seeing what treasures I might find next time, thanks to Brian’s exceptional guidance and passion...

My wife and I visited this store during the week and when we entered the store the security man said hello & welcomed us to the store to which we said hi. We walked around the store, my wife sat on the sofa as I did atleast 3 circuits of the store and was completely ignored by all the staff. It was as though we were both completely invisible to the staff. We are not use to such terrible lack of service as all the staff in the London uk stores are brilliant, and nothing is too much trouble for them( unlike the manhattan store).Shame on you New York RRL.....presumably you're the...
