Duane Reade — Local services in New York

Tried for weeks to get my prescription through this pharmacy. Called my insurance and provider multiple times to confirm it would be covered using an override then called the pharmacy and gave them a direct line to the insurance company to tell them what to do and pretty sure the lady at Duane Reade didn't even call them. She was incredibly rude on the phone, I told her that I must have been confused because the insurance continuously ensured me that I was covered for this medication, rather than ask any follow up questions, the lady at Duane Reade says "So you're going to pay out of pocket?" in an extremely rude and condescending tone. I can't imagine how many people who could have had medication covered by insurance have given hundreds to this scammy pharmacist because she thinks she can play around with people's health. Get a life, if you think you're better than everyone else you need to do some serious self reflecting. Not sure where they get their pharmacy staff but I went to pick up my prescription gave a young Asian lady my driver license and insurance card. She then asked "what is your last name?" I told her,"It's on the card. " she then tells me,"I can't read. " I was shocked. I told her,"Why are you working here if you can't read?" She said nothing and read my card and got my prescription. I definitely checked the name on the prescription since she said she can't read. Very unprofessional. Generally this location has very rude staff. On one occasion, I asked a girl behind the front checkout for help to access a locked case. She motioned to the newly installed buttons that you can press to request assistance. As I'm searching for this button (note: the provided graphic of this button on the locked case does not match the actual button), the said girl calls out to me and points it out.
