the service was great. no complaints there. the place felt a little shady. I walked, asked for the price, paid the house fee and the lady took care of me. whole hour complete and I was grateful. As she walked me out, just before I walked out, I handed her a tip. this is where they lost the 2 stars: after giving her her tip, I thank her again, open the door, and the guy running the front shuts the door and tells me to wait with an ugly tone. I look at him and ask him the problem because I paid the house fee and she got her tip but he remained quiet while the lady was checking how much tip I paid her. after she counted it and was happy with it, my man lets the door go and asks “did you bring a car?”. I was just bewildered how he kept me hostage until he decided if I needed to be shook down for more money or not which is wild. I was going to give them praise but that moment alone gave me reason not to return. tipping is a courtesy and not mandatory. you want your staff to be happy then pay them a livable wage and quit expecting others to pay them the salary you should be paying....

This is my favorite massage place in NYC. it’s basic, clean, professional and the prices are very very reasonable. Plus there is PARKING. Standing 16 hours a day doing cooking shifts destroys my back and legs. Sometimes I get Sciatica pain. My guy, KING, is super super pro and very very strong. His massage is super painful, not for the weak. I am sure I can do less, but for me this is what I need. Pure elbows.

His English is minimal, use google translate. But he’s a gentleman, is very sincere, and knows his stuff. I walk out of the place fully tenderized as if he took chuck beef and made it into filet mignon. The next couple days I feel like a million bucks. This is my go to massage place and my go to masseuse is non other than Lola. She may look small but she packs a fantastic strong deep tissue massage. She has great technique and really works those muscles to get the knots and stress out. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for a great legit massage.
