Tried something other than New World Mall today thanks to a friend convincing me and helping me and hubz figure out what I wanted to order for ourselves and my Ah Ma. 🙂
We tried:
Lan Zhou Hand Pulled Noodles -Mr. Duck Vermicelli Noodles -Wuhan Foodie next to 8090 Taiwanese place -Happy Lemon
Portions are huge from Mr. Duck for only $14! My abuelita liked it but be warned the duck meat comes with bones so it’s not convenient for the elderly
I ordered the Ox Tripe Pull Noodles from Lan Zhou Hand Pulled noodles. Yummm the noodles are very “qiu qiu” (bouncy) and broth was delicious! Loved the amount of ingredients that came along with it - great rec Brandon!
Chili Oil Beef Noodle Soup - it wasn’t overly spicy that hubz couldn’t handle it and noodles were freshly made! Abuelita ended up finishing due to the ease in masturcating the dish and loved it as well!
Finished off with Happy Lemon lemon teas to “wash” down the oil. ‘Twas a refreshing end.
I’m definitely excited to come back and try the rest of the vendors! (Particularly the Mala stall that’s on vacation.) we spent less than $35 for 3 dishes and was so satiated so it’s a bang for your buck.. and you’ll have so many options to...
Read moreOne of the best food courts ever. So many different variety of Chinese food! One of my favorite stores is 8090 $17 mushroom sauce steak. The dish takes about 4-10min to come out. Once it does the dish makes epic smoking hot display of boiling mushroom sauce on top of the steak. I wish I had a video of it. It smells and looks absolutely fantastic and tastes even better. I wish I had taken a video or photo but I couldn't wait to dig in. By the time I realized I should have taken a picture or video, I already finished 80% of the meal.
The boss lady of the food stand or kiosk used to work at "flushing mall" @ A Zhong Steak(now as A Zhong Noodles) as a chef. I used to eat @ flushing mall every Sunday back in my high school days with my mother. The boss lady/cashier @ A Zhong Noodles-which is also in the same food court-also worked as the cashier/employer @ A Zhong Steak. I guess the boss lady @ 8090 made enough money to get out of her position @ A Zhong Steak to have her own food stand.
Did you 8090 mushroom sauce/pepper sauce steak used to be 10 bucks @ A Zhong Steak?! I mean the size of he steak. The steak is...
Read moreI am a regular customer of a lunch box, but I decide never to come again. Yesterday I arrived early around 10:15 am and the yogurt booth was not open yet, I roamed around outside of the food court and came back around 11:00 am and found my vehicle got wheel clamped. The parking management guy coursed me with a mouthful of foul abusive language, express no sense of respect for a regular customer, he threatens me with $20 cash for unlocking the wheel clamp, I gave him and asked for a receipt, and he wrote a few unrecognizable characters and threw it on the floor. I think a few things are wrong here, his mindset and attitude of treating customers like barn-feeding horses with no respect, and the $20 bailout are excessive for 50 minutes of parking. I believe the management could encourage him to do so, half booths were closed for a long time, not an inviting place. In retrospect, I feel bad for both the businesses operating in this bad-luck-haunting place and customers who do need to turn on their stopwatches for the eating session, don't give yourself a chance of...
