No thanks.
Don't go here. I don't typically write reviews, but have to because my shopping experience was absolutely HORRIBLE.
I happened to be running in the area and came here because I was looking for a nice, clean store.
The setup of the store is nice, however, after entering the store, I was followed which made for a VERY uncomfortable shopping experience as I am NOT USED to being followed in stores.
My appearance is usually running or business attire. In other words, a very non- threatening appearance.
Once I reached the register, a young lady approached me out of no where and DEMANDED to check my bag. I was shocked and questioned why she needed to do so and that is when she informed me I had stolen an item.
I addressed her about how she talked to me and she seemed dumbfounded.
It was if she was clueless as to why I would be upset after being falsely accused of shoplifting.
I questioned her and the cashier who was also hostile with me about whether this was a typical shopping experience for their customers.
I also politely informed them to check their cameras as they have cameras everywhere.
They never apologized or admitted to being wrong in their accusations.
This is the first time in my ENTIRE life I have ever been profiled and accused of shoplifting.
And will be the best last time I ever go to this store.
I will stick to shopping online or going to stores that are in more affluent areas where the staff and management are more professional.
The customer keeps the business running. Without the customer, there is no business or paycheck.
Don't go here. Take your...
Read moreI called this store before going in to ask if they carried any wigs that were petite, as I know very well what the size of my head is. I was assured that they do in fact have them, so I made the journey there. Once I got there I learned that they didn’t actually have any, so instead I was told that an all lace wig would fit perfectly, and that I didn’t need a petite one. The girl put it on me, and when I pointed out that the wig was loose and bunched up all over my head, she assured me that the draw string just needed to be tighter and that it fit fine.
That was yesterday. Today at home I tried the wig on again, and there’s absolutely no way I can wear it. It is so big that it goes an inch over each ear, and has an extra several inches on the back.
I tried taking it to a salon to ask if there’s any way I can remedy the situation, and they were shocked and appalled that someone would sell this to a patient, KNOWING that it isn’t wearable.
I called the store today (the next day) and explained everything. They offered no resolution… they said that because they allow people to try on in the store, they don’t allow exchanges or refunds. It’s a shame they couldn’t just order a wig in the proper size. (By the way, the employees seemed befuddled by the fact that wigs come in various sizes).
I would have been a loyal customer had they handled this situation with grace. I’ll never go back...
Read moreI have frequented this store on many occasions over the past two years. It is my go to for hair care products and hair for braiding. Last Sunday I purchased $80 worth of products one of which was a $25 bottle of Design Essentials sheen spray. During the week I realized that the bottle didn’t work. I went back today with the bottle, which has the price tag and name of store on it, and asked that they replace it or show me how to use it. The manager insisted that I give her a receipt or show her my credit card statement to prove that I bought it there even though the sticker on the bottle says Eve Beauty. I told her when I was there and that she was the person who rung me up but I didn’t have the receipt and I’m not showing anybody my bank or credit card statements. All she had to do was replace the broken item she sold me. She then proceeded to call me difficult. One of the employees tried to help and acknowledged that the bottle was broken. I ended up telling them to keep the product and that I will no longer be spending money in their establishment. Nothing irritates me more than poor customer service and I am especially irritated by Asian run establishments selling Black Hair Care Products while treating Black people...
