Matthew Schulman, M.D. - Plastic Surgery — Local services in New York

The doctor and staff are nice but I am out of 200 just for him to deny me for a bbl. So for those out there try to do a video first or be sure you can get the procedure because he just made money off of me for absolutely nothing. Maybe a scam they do in order to make easy cash. Buyers beware. Save your money and go to a doctor who can deliver better bbl results for your money. Adding: I am also gonna add that Dr.Schulman did my exam without someone it the room with me and him so how do you know what that man really did!

Also if the staff and him have an issue with being late after hours don’t make a last appointment end it at a certain time so you guys aren’t held over if it bothers you so much.

And it was a waste to me (my opinion )because that is overpriced for a consult especially because it is not even partially refundable, that is ridiculous and if you ask me no one should have to pay that much for a consultation, so I am giving one star. Especially for the doctor to tell you no because really and truly he can say you aren’t a candidate for any reason that doesn’t make you a non-candidate. I feel like if a patient is not a candidate they should get their money back and that is the real issue here. So I will continue to warm people be sure you can really get the procedure you’re requesting and that this is the doctor who has the skills and abilities to do so before you pay for a consult. Because you’re wasting your money. Period. And I am glad that I didn’t get chosen for the surgery because the center is low for responding in this manner.

Actually I have been consulted by other doctors who have said the same as Dr. Schulman but they also offered alternative to be a candidate for the procedure and it was FREE. Also there are plenty of people who have more than one rounds of lipo and have stunning results, and they aren’t sick or harmed. if he feels he can not provide that in a safe manner then that is fine. As well his bbl result are “OK” for the price I have seen much much better that is my opinion. And also there is a fifteen minute grace period as per your policy, so technically I was not late. And also it is very unprofessional and a HIPAA breach to disclose any of my personal information on the internet as you did. You are not able to respond as you did with my personal information and I did not give you permission. Maybe I need to file a complaint with HIPAA.As well a consumer it is my right to leave my opinion of the services I was provided. And it can be seen as a scam because there are some plastic surgery offices that are charging for a consult just to disqualify you for the procedure for any reason just because they simply can. So you should be ashamed and embarrassed as an establishment to respond as you did. As a doctor and provider you should be ASHAMED of yourself to disclose my information in this manner . I’m am disgusted at how a doctor would allow his office to disclose patient Peronsal information and attack a patient publicly. I would never respond in the way you did. As a professional there is a better and appropriate way to respond, as a doctor you took an oath and this is not how to handle a dissatisfied patient. If a patient is upset for any reason, you handle it diplomatically, instead of being defensive. Next time consider carefully how you respond because it can cause more harm than good. Also I have been denied for surgery but my money was refunded to me and also I felt like I being treated differently being that I came late even though there is a grace period. How would you feel if you payed 200 for the doctor to deny you? Wouldn’t you be upset ? It can be seen as a scam and if you go back and try to read to comprehend instead being defensive, I said it may be a Scam “MAYBE”. Not a guarantee and once again my opinion. I found Dr. Schulman on Instagram back in early 2020 and I was so impressed with his credentials and his work. I continued to follow him on all platforms and frequented his website, all while continuing my extensive research in the perfect surgeon to fit my needs. No matter how many other surgeons I researched and before/after photos I scrolled through, I could not have my mind changed about wanting to choose Dr. Schulman.

I think many people are deceived by these “deals” they see advertised online promoting plastic surgery for much cheaper than you would be quoted for by Dr. Schulman. First of all, you get what you pay for, so if you are going for a top-notch board certified surgeon, their price is going to reflect just that. Second, what I like about Dr. Schulman is when you get your quote, this quote covers the entire cost which includes surgery, anesthesia, pre-op/post-op visits and post-op garment. You are not going to be receiving more bills along the way.

I went to the office for my pre-op visit three weeks before my surgery date and it is beautiful. Super clean and modern. I met Dr. Schulman and he is just as nice as he seems on social media. He is realistic and listens to exactly what you want and lets you know exactly what results you can expect. I was excited to say the least.

On the day of my surgery, I got to meet my anesthesiologist, Dr. Rahmani, beforehand in the exam room. He was so kind and reassuring. He made me feel like I was in great hands as far as the anesthesia aspect.

After meeting my anesthesiologist, Dr. Schulman came in the exam room. He was pleasant as always. We discussed some final details and then he was like a scientist in the lab. He pulled out his sharpies and starting drawing on me. He was gentle and kind. He showed me how my breasts would look and said I’ll see you in a few minutes! Finally, my sweet nurse, Kimberly, came in. She led me into the operating suite. All of the star players were already there and before I knew it, I woke up in recovery to Kimberly. She took care of me up until it was time for me to leave. She wheeled me out to my chaperone’s car.

Fast forward to today, I am 8 days post-op and I could not be happier. My expectations have been surpassed. The confidence I feel is unmatched. A confidence I have never felt with my breasts. I met Kristen yesterday at my post-op visit and she was just as kind as the rest of the others I have already mentioned.

Zoe is the PA and she has been extremely helpful with my aftercare.

Overall, I am so happy I went with my gut and booked Dr. Schulman. I know everyone desires the best “deal”, but bargaining is not something you want to consider when it comes to your body and your health. Dr. Schulman is absolutely worth every penny and I told him and his staff that this will not be their last time seeing me!

Do not hesitate on booking Dr. Schulman!

Pro-Tip: I was given the option to purchase their post-op recovery kit specific to my procedure. It included an extra garment, bottle of arnica forte to help with swelling/bruising, scar gel and vitamin B12 shot to be given at your post-op visit. I would recommend purchasing as I swear the arnica forte helped immensely. I am glad I have the extra garment that I know fits me exactly as it should as opposed to trying to buy one on my own. I have also been able to switch them up between washing instead of wearing the same old garment from the day of surgery. The scar gel has great reviews and it is not the same one you would get at your local pharmacy, it is still too early for me to use. I also did the math and buying everything separately would not have saved any money, it looks like it may even cost more. The only way you would lower the cost would be by buying cheaper/diluted versions of these items. Do it right and get it straight...

I wanted to start my review by thanking Dr. Schulman for his professionalism and just simply for being amazing at what he does. My whole life I’ve been very insecure about my body. I would never wear anything that shows my curves as well as almost never be in the full body picture. I never used to like looking in a mirror and seeing the shape I am in. Dr. Schulman was not only able to give me a perfect shape, but he also boosted my confidence. The staff is absolutely amazing, they are super friendly and very professional. I am currently dealing with another doctor for a different procedure that Dr. Schulman doesn’t work with - Rhinoplasty and let me tell you, after getting such professional treatment you expect other doctors to have the same and they are so far from the level of Dr. Schulman’s team. They are always on top of their scheduling, punctuality and follow ups. I am very grateful to each one of them for making me feel so comfortable through the whole entire process where not even for a second I had any bit of doubt that this was going to be amazing.

Dr. Schulman listened to each one of my requests and he gave me the most natural curves I’ve always looked for. Now I absolutely love looking in the mirror and see how beautiful my body have gotten thanks to Dr. Schulman. My recovery was super easy and smooth. My results are beyond perfect. He always says “I cannot give you perfect, I can only make you feel more confident in yourself”. Oh man oh man, if only he knew how perfect of a job he does.

I highly recommend and will always recommend Dr. Schulman if you are looking for perfect results and most professional staff who will ensure you of your safety and your results. Now I know that anytime I will need some procedure for the future I will run to him and only.

I also wanna add that I spoke to 8 different surgeons before going to Dr. Schulman and none of them were as knowledgeable and professional as him and his team. I am forever grateful and very happy that I chose Dr. Schulman.

P.S. Like his anesthesiologist says - he is the best anesthesiologist in that building lol. Dr’s right hand nurse who been working with him for 10 years is another level of professional and kind. I want to thank them for being simply amazing and making me feel so comfortable that I look back at the whole process with a big smile on my face.
