I stopped by Fashion Mail Art on a rainy weekday evening after work, and it turned out to be the perfect little moment of relaxation. My nail technician, Ella, was amazing—her attention to detail was truly impressive. I usually get a French manicure, but I’ve often been disappointed in the past because it doesn’t last very long. This time, though, I’m excited to see how long it holds up because Ella really took her time and it shows. The experience started with a warm hand mask, which felt so soothing and hydrating on my dry skin. What I really appreciated was that they left the mask on during the entire gel manicure, which not only kept my hands moisturized but also helped protect my skin from the LED light exposure. They even finished with nail oil, which I thought was a very thoughtful touch. Another great perk—they give you 10 days to come back for any fixes, which gives extra peace of mind. All in all, this was a really lovely experience, and I’d definitely come back.

EDIT 4/24/24: I’ve since gone back a few times since 5 of them have fallen off since I got it done originally, and Helen fixed them all (ended up redoing every single one). She was fantastic! I’m bummed that the first time I went I didn’t like it, but might actually try going again now that I think it was a fluke. Highly recommend Helen, and I’ve heard that Ella and Ivan are also good. Still hesitant about the price, but you can definitely get a good manicure here. 4/17/24 - I went here for the first time to try and find a new place nearby my apartment and ended up getting GelX for $92 - which felt expensive compared to other places nearby. I was disappointed initially by how sloppy the polish was (several nails had polish up to and on top of some of the cuticles) but within 48 hours I’d had two nails fall off. One was at work when I went to go grab my phone and the other was when I was sleeping. Incredibly disappointed and will not be returning.

This place is pretty solid and there are many technicians so you can usually get in quickly. Their work also lasts and you get a guarantee to fix any issues within 10 days which I have had to do. However, their prices are quite high for basics and anything additional you would like. I would say on average the services are $20-40 more here than other salons. My biggest issue though is the attitude of some of the staff. I think it’s been mentioned in other reviews but after 3-4 times of getting my nails done here I can confidently say it’s something that’s been noticeable to me and makes me feel uncomfortable. I have been made to feel like I can’t ask questions or clarify pricing before the service begins. My observations are that certain clients are treated differently than others and it’s very evident. That being said it’s convenient. I come when my regular nail lady is not free. I would come back - it just wouldn’t be my first choice.

I started going to this place April 2023 when they had just opened - was seeing Helen for nail dip, originally had a nice experience and since it’s a couple of blocks from my apartment, I thought it would be a good spot, after going there for a year , she started having other people do my nail appointment, yes I’ve called and spoke to her & made the appointment & when I went she had a guy take me to do my nails , this happened a few times , for whatever reason after they started building clients their attitude changed , I had even referred a good friend of mine to go there and she also had an awful experience , she left her sitting & took another client ( same thing happened to me ) which was extremely rude , I do tip well ( always $10 plus ) I was there a few weeks ago , asked for the colored French manicure ( I could hear her in the background telling the woman that was going to do my nails $90.00) she never bothered to even say hi like I haven’t been going there for over a year and was her client! Now I see they have a picture of the colored French manicure on there website ..🙄 In any case there’s plenty of nail salons in the neighborhood. You should care about building lasting relationships. In response to the reply :

I actually tipped well - I believe $10 is actually a generous tip. You never asked if you can go and work on another client- again this happened to my friend as well that I referred to go to your nail salon , it’s good practice to let your customer know that you will work on someone else and leave them sitting for 30 minutes wondering what’s going on. I did call and make an appointment- and when I walked in and you were working on another client I was flexible and would come back when you were available. One time I was short a few dollars and I came right back and paid!! - plenty of times I paid cash and never took the...

Can’t believe I just paid $100 for a pedicure here. $85 is the cheapest pedicure that includes callus removal. It also includes 15 minutes of massage so I figured I’d give it a shot. The technician clearly didn’t know what he was doing. I had to get him to re-file and cut my nails because he barely cut them the first time. He also was about to start polishing without doing any thing with my cuticles so he had to go back to that step, and then re-clean and buff him before he could polish. Even with the foot scrubbing didn’t quite know what he was doing and didn’t put any pressure so I don’t think it got anything off the bottom of my foot. I guess there is supposed to be a hot stone calf massage? He brought a hot stone over and just kind of glided it over my leg for no more than 3 seconds per leg? I opted to have the 15 minute massage on my back rather than my feet, which was a mistake. I could’ve given myself a better massage. He didn’t know what he was doing at all, didn’t use any pressure or know the basics of massage therapy. I almost told him to stop so I could leave because it was not good and a waste of my time.

As far as the pedicure itself my toes look decent, but there’s clearly a lot of skin around my nails and cuticles that haven’t been cut still and there is paint around the top of my toes. As suspected there’s still white areas in the bottom of my foot because he didn’t use any pressure even though I paid for callus removal.

SMH. $110 (after tip) and 1.5 hours of my life I...

This place have a really bad service right now, my first time the place was new, like 6 month ago I paid for gel manicure and was ok, but I return 2 days ago for regular color manicure, and I needed to asked twice the manicurist girl, please paint the córners of my nails and she said Fock, was super unprofessional and rude, I think the nail polish was old, because was sticky and in 2 days all my nail polish removed and crack.

Answering your question, is alright maybe was less time not 6 months, I don’t know the name of the Manicurist girl, but I can return Saturday and tell you who was, but I return last Monday, and she didn’t work this day, I showed my damage nails, and explained that happened in 2 days for 3 manicurist of you and your told me, I needed to paid again for color, because I did regular color and the nail polish is cheap, and if I want for more days manicure, I needed paid for gel manicure, but I can’t use chemicals product all the time, and I expended $60 from you for manicure and Pedicure, and it’s not make sense, I only had for 2 days, and 3 of you was super rude, one of you removed my color and then told me, I can’t do anything if you don’t paid again, because I’m not was working last Friday went you came , and you need to paid again because I don’t know if you cooked or washed dishes. She was Super hateful and disrespectful, bad customer...
