Mothers Seafood & More — Restaurant in New York

Had me waiting in their for over a half hour, to get my order wrong.. the girl assured me that they would put extra shrimp with my meal since they forgot the fish.. when I got back to my job, and opened up my meal, there was no extra shrimp.. I had to go all the way back because they screwed up my coworkers order. Mind you I was on my break.. the cashier never said sorry or anything she just gave me my food with an attitude That just ruined my experience, I won’t be returning, and I work at woodhull hospital.. they lost alot of business, I will be telling my coworkers not to go their…And secondly the food wasn’t for me it was for my coworkers, and upon tasting the steamed fish, my coworker is from Jamaica and she said the fish wasn’t well seasoned, and the whiting and fried shrimp had know flavor my other coworker said.. I didn’t have the food myself, but based on their reviews, I’m going to ride off their opinion.. And honestly I had the food from the other location, I wasn’t impressed.. I realize, this is not traditional southern cuisine, it’s Caribbean people who are trying to prepare southern dishes.. I don’t tell lies and I have impeccable taste. So trust me when I say that this restaurant should be the well known Soul food place that I heard about in other cities. I don’t understand why these people have not franchised and set the standard for Authentic, delicious, well seasoned, as if it came close to my grandmothers kitchen and that says a lot because once I had a guest over for the holidays at my grandmothers we had them for life! So I was walking down Graham Avenue and I seen a young lady on the phone standing in front of this restaurant called Mother’s Seafood. She was explaining to her friend what the restaurant had so that she can place her order. When I heard her calling out all these fabulous dishes, I went inside and there was another couple that had just placed a huge order. I asked is the food good? She said honey the food is great. Now I’m a great cook and I know great food. Well, I got the macaroni and cheese, the greens, sweet potatoes, string beans, turkey wings, cornbread, fish and the chicken. Let me tell you something! That lady did not lie, and that food did not disappoint. This was some of the best soul food I have ever had.
