I’ve been a regular customer of this specific GNC for 10+ years. Throughout that time I’ve encountered some nice staff and some truly horrible staff as well-didn’t matter because I was in and out and always knew what I came for-always a transactional experience. However, today I met the nicest, most knowledgeable member of the GNC Team I’ve ever met. He was so exceptional that if I didn’t write this review I would be a POS. I’ll keep it short, I went into the store today to take advantage of the last day of buy one get one 50% off. I was there for some vitamins and whey protein, as well as pre-workout-easy. Chris greeted me the second I walked in and engaged with me while I was looking for what I wanted. Honestly, I expected him to be like everyone else, so I didn’t pay him much mind other than the proper respect I give every deserving human being. I decided to ask him a question at which point he opened up and shared with me the knowledge and advice I’ve been lacking for all these years in that store and in general. Needless to say I went in there planning to spend $150-$200 and left spending almost $500. He wasn’t aggressive, nor did he try to push product, simply provided the appropriate products based upon my goals. Now, to top it off, he even texted me a follow up of our discussion that I will now use every day. If GNC does not recognize Chris for his exceptional, exceptional, exceptional service, and product knowledge you’re going to lose him, and another company will benefit. As a hotel manager, people like Chris are hard to come by these days. Make sure he is treated with dignity and respect and reward him with the maximum compensation. Although she has lost 25 lbs on Ozempic, she has had several negative side effects including muscle fatigue, low energy levels and some digestive issues. We were greeted by Chris who was exceptionally helpful to us. He asked my mom permission to ask a few questions to determine what would be best for her, and after answering his questions, he proceeded to set us up with a program to help my mom with her concerns. Read moreI went into this GNC in a good mood and left annoyed. Christopher is the pushiest salesman I've ever encountered. Every sentence was an upsell. I knew what I came to get and that was pre-workout. Chris saw an opportunity and ran with it though. At first, it was protein, if I want to get bigger, of course, and then it was creatine, and then after that, he asked if I take any vitamins. At least make it a little subtle. Top it all of off, he signed me up for an account without asking, because it's free and why not?
