I love my local Qahwah House cafe! It's close to where I live so I go there often to complete my online work. I usually just order a yemeni tea with sugar and no milk-delicious every time. There are many yemeni cafe in Bayridge and I feel this location has the best tasting tea. āļø I have also tried a couple of their coffee items (cortado and yemeni latte), good balance with spices and sweetness, and expresso has a good flavor. There is a variety of pastries and sweets available as well. I've had the honey comb bread and the tomato/olive croissant, both are great compliments to a coffee or tea. The atmosphere is comfortable. There is always a nice aroma of spices when you walk inside. In the mornings there is adhkar/quran playing softly, the rest of the day traditional yemeni music is played at a reasonable volume; people can work in peace or have conversations without having to shout. I really appreciate how they keep the atmosphere authentic to the yemeni theme and dont play loud pop music. The staff is efficient at keeping this rather large and busy cafe clean at all times of the day. I have seen staff immediately go to wipe tables, windows, and other surfaces as soon as customers finish with an area. The staff is polite and attentive to all customers from what I have experienced and observed. The baristas are very quick and skilled at making everything on the menu. Overall, a very well...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreQahwah House has one of the best Chai Adeni anywhere so I was excited that they opened up in Bayridge and even more excited that Kunafa Cups was partnering with them as Iāve been following them for a long time and never got to try their cups. It looked really good. I paid $9 for it and it turned out to be $9 for the garbage! Barely any syrup on top, it looked so dry. I even asked did you put syrup? and he was like yes do you want more? and Iām looking at it like OK let me just try it then: so crispy and hard, way too red instead of orange, fell apart, and cheese had NO pull and was just a glob on the bottom middle. I took a bite anyway and was shocked. What is this? This is the infamous Kunafa Cup? I got up to throw it in the garbage and they saw that and said that they would give me another one and I said thereās noooo need to because if I donāt like this one, Iām not gonna like another one. Unfortunately, this whole review is because of Kanafa cups and not really even about Qahwah but since theyāre selling it, I have to make that statement. I donāt think that they know how to probably heat up or serve this and thatās both of their problems, but Iām highly disappointed. Didnāt get any refund either. Iāll stick with Adeni and the...
