y husband (who is Vietnamese) and I ordered from this place recently and we were pleasantly surprised!

Their broth had the wonderful spicy rich aromatic undertones of star anise, cinnamon, peppercorn and the depth that comes from roasted beef bones and charred onions. Even thinking about it makes me salivate. Oh, and the sliced beef is really good quality and they send a heaping portion (what else could you ask for?!) This is the real deal, folks.

Their spring rolls are filled with herbs and they send all the right fixings when you order delivery. A must on a chilly or otherwise miserable day -- really lifts my spirits!

Recently we ordered vermicelli bowls but we always test a place out first by ordering pho. The meat in the vermicelli bowl (pork) was succulent and there was lots of it. The rice noodles were cooked perfectly and the cha gio (deep fried spring rolls) were not only crispy but had all the tasty fixings. They also don't use cheap fish sauce -- folks, when you eat a lot of Vietnamese food you can just tell. My only issue is they could put more vegetables in their vermicelli bowls. I'm not someone who likes to carb load, but that's personal preference on my part.

We come here often because it's near home and also because of the food. We are lucky to have a Viet spot that satisfies our taste buds so close to home. My husband usually gets either #1, bun bo hue, or the banh mi. I usually get #6, curry with bread, or banh mi. We've tried their vermicelli, rice dishes and soups before and we've enjoyed them too - just that we get our usuals most of the time. To share, we usually get summer roll (either shrimp or tofu) - we really enjoy the peanut sauce. We also get the mussels and water spinach to share, which we also really like. We would try new things on the menu but our favorites are always so good, so we stick with our favorites.

Came in with my daughter for dinner, and the service was absolutely horrible. We stood at the door waiting to be seated, another couple came in after us and they were immediately greeted and were about to be seated when we spoke up to let them know that we had been waiting. The lady that sat us put us in the corner and asked if we wanted water or tea, she brought it over and took Our order. We both ordered pho and when it came out it was barely lukewarm and the broth was unflavored. We looked around for spoons and there was none to be found. We had to wave someone down to get them to bring them over. Not one time did someone come by to see how our food was or to see if we would like to order drinks.
