My visit to Gotham Footcare was a less than par experience and I would not recommend to anyone. I felt like every employee, in the office, was there to rip me off instead of working in my best interest. Here is why... I visited the office to take out an ingrown toenail. I entered an exam room and the nurse wanted to take X-Rays. I repeat, X-Rays for my ingrown TOENAIL. I told her "no thanks, that's unnecessary", she told me to gather all my belongings and move to another room while shoving cardboard slippers on my swollen toe. I felt light headed after the doctor gave me Novocain shots and I asked for a paper towel and the nurse brought me a dry paper towel (useless). So, I used a cup of water she gave me to wet the paper towel and spilled on my clothes while the doctor and the nurse smirked. I proceed to ask for a WET paper towel and the nurse brings back a another dry paper towel with two drops of water on it. Luckily, the two drops of water was enough to help alleviate passing out. After the procedure, the doctor made a remark that he's so "fast and it doesn't hurt". He then gave me a boot, that I didn't realize I was paying for, that did not even cover my toe. As I left the office, the receptionist told me I needed to pay a lot more than expected because I needed to pay my deductible. She gave me a confusing explanation. I didn't know any better and paid it. I called the office after I left and asked for an itemized receipt to view what I paid for and they could not provide one. After placing my calls on hold, I went back to the office to demand a receipt. I called my insurance company to find out I needed to pay significantly less so I had to go back to the office for them to credit my credit card. I did not go to my follow-up appointment in fear I would have a similar experience. I don't recommend this practice. Save yourself time, money, and aggravation. I felt like I was taken...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGotham Foot care is one of the top rated podiatrist office because they provide all the services in the same office. Their staff members are warm, friendly and inviting. My name is Tricia K Lewis and I have been a Gotham Foot care patient for one year. Last January 2016, I had a consultation with Dr. Nelya Lobkova and I was very impressed with how informative she was on my condition. I decided to go ahead with the surgery and in February, Dr. Miguel Cunha and Dr Nelya Lobova performed the Hammer Toe surgery which went successful. I had to wear surgical boots for three weeks and then I began physical therapy. The physical therapist Rona is highly educated, flexible and understands the recovery process. I was so impressed with the quick recovery and healing process of my first operation, that I decided to start my last procedure which was Bunion Operation in September. Both operations were successful and I am very impressed with the healing and recovery process. I attend physical therapy twice a week and I was look forward to going to their office. The Gotham Foot Care team are amazing, I am so grateful and fortunate that I had wonderful doctors that understood my foot conditions and was able to correct and rectify the issue for me. Dr Lobkova is one of the sweetest and most attentive doctors I have ever met in my left. Dr. Cunha is one of the funniest doctors I have ever met in my life, I think his second job should be in comedy. The Gotham Foot Care staff members are so amazing but unfortunately I have a favorite which is Heather she is so kind, professional and has great interpersonal skills. Gotham Foot Care team are like family and I am so glad to have met all these...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAdding to my review below to say that I am still at Gotham doing physical therapy on my ankle injury. Because of Anat's schedule I have now transitioned over to Dr. Hooks for my physical therapy and have been seeing him for about 3 months. My PT has been FANTASTIC and is truly making a difference. Dr. Hooks knows his stuff and has been very transparent with me in this process. I can't say enough about how much I love this office. From the physical therapists, to the podiatrists and all of the medical assistants (Alnery, Sherine & Eman are THE best, so welcoming & friendly). This staff is both professional and fun!
I have been to Gotham Footcare for about 4 months now after a bad ankle spring/small heel fracture and canāt say enough good things about this facility. Dr. Cunha is awesome and made me feel so comfortable from day 1. Heās very passionate about his job and cares a lot about your recovery. I also see their in house Physical Therapist, Anant, he is also so lovely and is also very passionate about his job. Heās given me so many good tips & info on how to properly heal my foot. My PT sessions with him are very educational and SO very helpful in my healing process. The office staff is also great, Iāve had great experiences with every single one of them. They are so nice and friendly during my passive treatment and really take the time to get to know you and make you feel comfortable. The downtown & midtown locations are also very helpful and convenient to get to. As excited as I am to heal my injury I am going to miss coming here so often after my experience with everyone at...
